The above statement is hardly part of a discussion. Before you attempt to belittle me, you should probably think about what you're going to say.

Will happily admit that was probably not the smartest thing I have ever said, but still stand by the irony part. 

Panda, member whoring is a problem in our world. It is an issue that needs to be addressed. You earlier referenced ThomasRourke, at least he took the time to come out and give his opinion on the matter.

Phreaking_Panda, you're a leader. Your job is to lead. Huxley's job is to start a discussion, to see how others feel on the issue of member whoring.

You've said you don't like it, so here's what you do: Stop condoning it in your crew. Talk to the other leaders, see how many of them agree with you and will also take the pledge to disallow member whoring.

ThomasRourke is dead. Just because he instituted a policy does not mean that is is not a BAD policy, or an outdated policy.

That's a personal attack on Panda as a leader Huxley, and is not a tribute to this conversation. Do you enjoy patronizing people who simply disagree with you and think you're being immature?

The point of this conversation goes no where because you don't really want to know anyone's opinion on member whoring, you just want to tell people what you think and if anyone disagrees you personally attack them and their position. I find your passive aggressive nature distastful. 

First off, what is this "Game" you speak of?

Secondly.... yes. Your job as a leader is to lead, to take the ball that whoever authed you gave to you, and run with it. This member whoring issue is something you could run with. You could announce "I have decided that member whoring is bad, and so have disallowed the practice in my crew." Would that change the world? In some small way, with practically no effort from you, it would.

An avalanche can start with but the smallest crack in the snow.

Yet you refuse to even do that much. That says everything someone needs to know about you as a leader - and everything about the leadership our cities currently have.

JerusalemRourke, I will compare this to Local Pizza Shops. If Panda stops selling pepperoni pizza, but his competition doesnt, people will simply go to his competition, which is bad for Panda's family, aka a dumb move as a leader. Also, calling out someone's leadership abilities is asking to die...

So, I assume you believe you can see into my headquarters and overhear the private conversations I have with my members? How do you know I haven't spoken to my members about this issue. Surely, if my family practiced memberwhoring as a whole, I would have far more members than I currently have. Surely, you know that life is nothing more than a game? We play and are played by people.

Panda, if I may, I would not even bother defending yourself from such unscrupulous comments. They mean nothing.

This man is simply waiting for someone to challenge him so he can belittle them simply for disagreeing.

I see no announcement, here out in the public where people can see it and agree with it or disagree with it as is their want. I see you hiding behind the old chestnut "Oh I did it in my HQ behind closed doors" yet... that accomplishes nothing. Things done in secret don't SHOW leadership.

And yeah, I know. Questioning leadership = me dying. But the thing is, when I no longer care about living or dying, it frees me up to say the things that need to be said.

The only problem with that logic is that this topic has most likely been discussed by said leaders, and they decided they don't have a problem with it.

When I came on these shores I appreciated others asking me if I wanted to be in their family, because as a lowely thug I would not have the will to bother those above me by asking. When others come to me, it tells me they want to show me what their family is about. I was picky, but I ended up being with the family that fits me best.

You are in no position to say what needs to be discussed. You have no family, you have no credibility, and your opinion on the matter is lost among those who can change it; yet they wish not to.
