Mezzo Park Started by: Elle_E_Ott on Apr 12, '21 21:14

Walking through Detroit, Melis stumbled upon Mezzo Park. It was a beautiful summer day and she had been walking for quite some time so she decided to take a look around the park. It did not appear overly populated and the waterfront was absolutely gorgeous.

Heading towards the edge of the water, Melis took a seat and stretched out her legs. She watched the still water for a little while and began calculating the profit she would be making later that day. Every penny counted she would mutter to herself as she would eventually want someone else to do the work for her. Maximum free time for maximum profit of course but that would take some time.

Hanging out by the water improved her mood and she was reluctant to force herself to get back to work.

'I bloody HATE travelling!' Tussy was thinking to himself having just arrived in Detroit for what he considered to be a small, inconsequential business transaction. It wasn't that he disliked the actual visiting other places. No, he struggled with the immense effort for what would be only a fleeting stop. When he was younger and regularly visited his homeland and the Arabian Peninsula, Tussy could not get enough of the next step. The major difference? Business and pleasure, duration and location, and at the end of the day the lack of arseing rain!

Before realising where he had got to, Tussy stepped into Mezzo Park and could immediately feel the calming influence of the natural environment around him. Listening to the birds tweeting away, their songs etched into the echoes of eternity on the blank canvas of the mind, he could feel all his irritations dissipate. 'Hmmmmz...,' he thought, 'Perhaps I need to spend less time doing my job and more in nature.'

His peace was quickly shattered as an unidentifiably bland individual bumped into him absent mindedly. It was indeed a bad day to travel....

Back in Detroit for a few hours, Jaded found a lovely little park to hang out in between her scheduled dealings. Ensuring she had a sweater as it was a little cooler than usual, she found an empty bench and sat down. Stretching her legs out and crossing her ankles s she leaned back. Digging into her bag, she found herself a well loved book that she took with her everywhere.

Peeling back the pages, she found one of her favourite parts and spent time reading. She'd sit for a few hours, letting the walkers, and runners pass by her and nodding a hello to the ones that happened to turn their attention towards her. Jaded was content to watch people pass by and read snippets of her book but soon found herself restless. Getting up, she decided to leave the park and travel around the city streets. She might as well learn the lay out, it could be useful later when evading police on a crime gone wrong later on.
