I totally believe that the government feeds us false information. It is called Propaganda. There is a great book written by the man who taught our governments, yes all of them not just the U.S., on how to use propaganda on its citizens to gain compliance.  The book is called Propaganda by Edwards Bernay's, Freud's nephew. The irony of this is that the idea of propaganda is based on Freudian Philosophy that Freud's peers discredited. 

As far as immunization mandates our country has always had these. No one goes out on the street and yells no mandatory school vaccinations for my kid, the exception as is always the case in everything a small handful of the population does due to religious reasons.  I have advocated not against people getting the vaccine per say, just that people d o research on the validity of the lab results of the vaccinations.

They do have some validity issues, now I understand only people who deal  with validity in their fields understands what this means. So look at Ambien for example, which I have used before: The FDA said it was safe for  use and gave guidelines for it's usage and prescribed strength. Doctors used this guideline and then we had women waking in the morning driving "intoxicated" Sleepily. groggy having a hard time staying alert. As a result there was an issue with car accidents involving children who got hurt. This is because the tests for it were not valid, because they didn't test the drug on the female population. 

As far mask mandates go. Yes, everyone at least in the States has certain rights. But I think many people in the States forget that our rights are also everyone's else rights and what we are allowed to do can  not impinge on the rights of others.   

On a side note I am immune compromised I have  been wearing a mask  for a little over 5 years, because of people who won't get immunized for things,  I am not allowed to be around people when they get  immunized for covid or the flu, for two weeks while the immunization does it thing. I can not get the vaccination for covid, so yes I am waiting for herd immunity if we every get it with this, with people being ignorant and selfish by not getting vaccinated when they can and not wearing a mask.

I wonder if the Freedom Convoy is partially spurred on by an existential crisis. I know there are already driverless trucks on the road in the EU, as the supply chain people in a business I used to work for were very proud about their partnership with one of the truck manufacturers. They used a method called platooning in which the first truck was self-driven but manned by a human co-pilot to account for unforeseen circumstances while the 3 behind it were AI-driven and synced to the first truck. It was significantly safer, cheaper and more time efficient than 4 human drivers. Everybody wins (except truckers).
