Joey noticing Mary walk towards Eddie he knew that she would be trouble so he had to do something fast.

He quickly got up from the chair and moved over to Eddie and put his hand on his shoulder and said,

“Hey Eddie look, I know that you’re a busy man but this can’t wait much longer and it shouldn’t take up much of your time.”

He pulled aside a waiter and instructed him to keep Mary occupied and away from Eddie’s office while he was in there with him.

Eddie walked back with Joey into his office and they both sat down.

“So, what have you got for me? I’m interested in making money but it better be good money and you better not be screwing with me I’m sure you know who I am and what that means for you as a potential business partner.”

Joey stood up and began to pace a little around the room.

“Actually Eddie that’s what I’m going to need a clarification on … just for business purposes like you said of course.”

“Does the name Lorenzo Romano ring any bells to you?”

“Of course it does, however I realize that Lorenzo he doesn’t really want to make the kinds of moves that I’d like for us to be making, He’s too “Old School” for my books if you catch my drift… Perhaps you could work a different connection, one that doesn’t mind stretching the limits and taking a bigger risk for a much greater reward, that if you ask me … its more than worth the efforts.”

Eddie started to scratch his head, dodging around avoiding eye contact with Joey. Joey knew that he had caught Eddie but he didn’t know enough to know what exactly he had discovered other than a possible connection with another family.

Just as Eddie was about to respond the door came flying open and in walked the devil with high heels.

“Eddie, why you keepin me out? What’s going on in here that you can’t see an old friend?”

“Hey Mary, lovely to see you but us boys here are talking business wait outside a moment if you would.”

Mary decided it would be more comfortable if she waited on Eddie’s lap.

After sitting across his lap she pulled a cigarette from his suit jacket and waited for him to strike a match to light it.

“Look Eddie I need an answer here, what’s it going to be?”

Getting short tempered with both Eddie and Mary at this point.

“Let me take down you contact information … in the meantime stay awhile, have some fun …”

“Yeah, I brought some of my lady friends with me tonight they’d love to met a young lad like you … what is your name anyways I’ve not seen you around these parts before?”

Joey getting quite upset shook his head and downed what was left of his drink set the glass on Eddie’s desk and walked towards the door.

“Look Eddie, I can appreciate a good time but this is business and it’s important that you get back to me right away on this one.”

“Sure, I just got one question, would you do business with a stranger you’ve never met before … one that lets say would be asking you to take big risks for him … asking him about things he has no business knowing if he has to ask about em in the first place … you tell me as a “business man” what exactly would you do in that kind of a situation.”

“When can we start?” Joey said and they both laughed forcedly.

“For real though you come in here and have all these expectations for me and you expect me to come up with an answer for you on the spot? Gimme a break kid, I’ll get back to you after I get to know you a bit alright. So just sit back and relax tonight you look tense like your winded soo tight your balls are gonna pop off any minute. Ok?”

Eddie said as he tapped Mary to get off of him so that he could stand up. He then put his arm around her and said to Joey.

“I’m feeling generous tonight and I don’t want you to feel like you’ve accomplished nothing here tonight so I’ve decided I’ll comp you for 10 grand go nuts on the tables and hopefully all goes well and Ill have some of your money tonight.”

He laughed and began to walk out the door.

What does Joey do next?

A)     Joey catches Eddie one last time and says, “I’m sorry but I can’t wait on this offer I’m trying to make with you here, it has to go down soon I need to know can you make it happen yes or no?”

B)      Joey says thank you for the money and he decides that perhaps he must take things slow and build a relationship with Eddie so that he trusts him, perhaps he could get even more dirt on Eddie for Lorenzo that way.

C)      Joey says, “No thanks I’m not the gambling type myself, I was really hoping we could work something out here, I must say I’m a little disappointed, I figured s guy like you with your reputation would be able to make something like this work.”

(OOC) Thank you all for you support of this thread I’ll try not to let it go inactive for that long a period again, things have been crazy irl so it’s been hard to keep up with this as much as I’d like to.

By tempting him and doubting his 'connections', he could be enticed into revealing his entire dossier of contacts.

JoeyBagaDonuts looks out amongst the crowd just to realize that his once full an eager audience had severely dwindled, he couldn't help but feel to be somewhat at fault for this because of how long it had taken him to remember parts of the story, but perhaps it was just the story itself not keeping interest ... Joey looked up and said,

"People of the streets please tell me if my story is still worth listening to, and if you wish to keep this story being told please help me try to revive thisaudience once again, I'd hate to see this story die while its still to young, I've got the juice to keep this going if your willing to help me tell it, but there is no other point to telling a story if theres nobody to tell it to."

Joey went back out to the streets to see if he could track down some of his friends that he knew would be interested in his story in hopes that his story could live on ... perhaps long enough to see if it might make enough fame to go to the silver screen.

"I'll be right back! You can count on that ... the next few sections of the story will be gauranteed to keep you edge!", Joey yelled out as he began to pick up his pace to a jog.

the hulkstter runs past Joey the oppisite way and waves at him. Then he rips his shirt for no reason.

"Ladies and gentleman, I am most glad to see the overwhelming response and support, I will not let us down ...

The Story Must Go On!"

Joey makes the move up onto the soap box picks up the story and begins reading,

~C~ and the story continues ...

Joey says to Eddie,

“No thanks I’m not the gambling type myself, I was really hoping we could work something out here, I must say I’m a little disappointed, I figured s guy like you with your reputation would be able to make something like this work.”

He puts his head down and begins to slowly walk away and then he heard Eddie yell to him,

“Wait …”

Joey turned around to see Eddie dodging through the crowd to say something.

“Look Joey you seem like you’re a bright kid but I don’t know a thing about you, why don’t you come over here tomorrow and we hang around for awhile, I got this show and I’d like you to help me out over here with some things, think of it as a trust building exercise and then we’ll talk about this business plan of yours and I think you’ll like what I have to say if I like the way you handle yourself.”

“Very well I can compromise with you on that one here, I’ll be back about 8 o’clock soon as I get off from the restaurant.”

Joey shook hands with Eddie and then started to walk out of the casino, by the time he got out the front door he noticed that two thugs were standing out by his truck waiting to greet them, before he could think or react to the two thugs by his car two more came right up next to him and escorted him around to the alley way between the casino and the hotel.

“So mister who do you think you are barging in here like this trying to work over Eddie for information … you think because he looks scrawny like a women you can treat him like one?”

The goomba took a slug at Joey’s gut … then the other one stood him back up again … that guys been really eating some donuts he thought to himself as he cringed in pain from the heavy blow.

“Let that be a warning to you, you’re very lucky he’s interested in your business deal and he didn’t want your pretty boy face messed up.”

“Now come with me to this hotel, there’s somebody inside that you have to meet before you leave, although I might suggest staying the night its late and the room would be comp’d and its  one hell of a room, with a view if you know what I mean.”

The guard winked as he said that and a big smile came across his face from one chubby cheek to the other.

Joey and the guards walked into the hotel and there standing in the lobby was another mafioso looking type but this one looked to have a little more business smarts and to be a little higher up than the kind of guys that meet up with him in the parking lot.

“Joey I’ve heard about you, Lorenzo sent me here to check up on you, Mary said that you had quite the night, I’m Jimmy, you’ll be getting to know me a lot better over the next few weeks.”

Joey followed Jimmy towards the elevators and took them up to the top floor. They got off the elevator and walked into the largest most prominent suite on the floor that was comprised of almost all high rollers and big donors suites. Inside the room he saw another familiar face that he was getting very tired of seeing … Mary’s.

“Excuse me but what’s this broad doing here, she just about screwed up the whole night for me and thanks to it I got a nice bruised rib.”

“Relax Joey she’s with me, we’ve been put in charge of monitoring this casino/Fast Eddie situation right now. Lorenzo had the two of us stay here for awhile and he’d like for you to catch up on the details of the situation if you’d just stay here the night, there’s four king sized beds in here and as you can see it takes of nearly a third of this floor so you’ll have plenty of privacy and won’t have to worry about bumping into Mary if you wish … or if you do … the rooms are nearly sound proof so you won’t have to worry about that either.”

“Shut the hell up you disgusting pig!” Mary shouted at Jimmy.

“See its 3 am in the morning and nobody is pounding because of loud mouths screaming.”

“Your just jealous I’ve been turning you down all month in this hotel room for weeks, I bet your balls are gonna burst soon huh?”

“Shut up you whore”

“WHORE! You calling me a WHORE!”

Joey stood up and calmed the two of them down,

“Look let’s just get down to business so I can get the hell out of here I’m not spending the night.”

“Look Joey I’m sorry you feel that way but the offer to stay the night is more of a demand … you see I had my guys bring your truck back to you place and we squared things up with your boss at the restaurant that you’d be out of town for a few days, Lorenzo is biting down on his chops to get things settled real soon here and he needs you now to be a part of this, don’t worry about your pay we’ll more than cover your salary and living expenses are all on the house here at the hotel, just two things … you stay here in this room with us and the second you don’t tell anyone where your staying and who you’re staying with, capiche?”

Joey could feel another pain in his stomach sinking in although it wasn’t the kind you get from when your slugged there, it was a deeper more inward sense of queasiness, he knew he was already getting himself in too deep and that he couldn’t turn around already … the lack of options sickened him … he was the kind of man who’d never like to be backed into a corner.

What does Joey do next?

A)     Joey says, “Look I’m tired I need to get some sleep if we’re going to be here together anyways lets catch up in the morning.”

B)      Joey says, “Fine but when I’m in my room I expect not to be disturbed by anyone at all for any reasons, I need my privacy.”

C)      Joey says, “Fine then let’s get right to it, fill me in.”

Walking through the streets seeing the panic and chaos from the aftermath of life changing war, mourning the loss of soo many great mafiosos including his father.

Birbigglebug stumbled across the street corner where his father once told his stories and he got a gleam in his eye.

"I've come here to this very street corner, the one where my father JoeyBagaDonuts stood here and told his story to all you folks,  to say that in his honor I will continue his story telling legacy in hopes of returning back to the day where we could gather together once again in the streets and to enjoy a great story together, Thank you."

Birbigglebug steps down from the soap box wondering why his father ever decided to give him that nickname and wondering even more why it stuck.

Joey finds himself in a dilema, not being able to decide on who's request to take for the next section of his story ...

To side with T-man for responding early or to use ThePunchingBag's since he provided an in depth reasoning for his choice ...

His stomach began to feel a bit quesy as he didn't wish to offend any of his listeners and yet he wanted to continue his story ...

"Thats it!"

He said outloud as he pulled his father's lucky coin from out of his pocket ...

"We'll flip on it."

T-Man you'll be tails since you are the "T" man and T is for tails, ThePunchingBag will be heads also appropriately because heads make the best punching bags!

Joey begins to flip the coin high into the air catches it in his hand and sets it on top of his other hand and begins to reveal it ...

"And the winner is ...

T-Man ..."

They all looked out to see that indeed the had landed on tails. (OOC I did in fact flip a coin on this one and I didn't want to show favoritism either way, hopefully we won't have a tie next time and things will work themselves out with a majority vote like usual.)

"So now without further delay, heres the next segment of our story!"

~B~ and the story continues

Joey says,

“Fine but when I’m in my room I expect not to be disturbed by anyone at all for any reasons, I need my privacy.”

“Very well, Mary and I will catch up for awhile then we’ll see you in the morning. For breakfast meet with us downstairs in the hotel restaurant they have the best eggs and bacon in town with spectacular pancakes to boot!”

“Alright I could probably use a good meal in the morning and I’ll be well rested then and willing to talk, it’s been a long couple a days and I’m just not ready for a talk at this hour not tonight.”

“Alright I understand we’ll try not to be too loud out here just get some sleep make sure get yourself well rested.”

Joey went into the room shut the door and passed out sprawled on top of his bed … it was quite comfortable.

Joey woke up in the morning cleaned himself up and prepared himself to meet with Jimmy and Mary.

He walked out into the common room and noticed a few cigs put out in a tray that looked rather fresh but noticed that nobody but him was in the room … hopefully he hadn’t slept in too late.

When he got down to the restaurant the hostess immediately began to walk him towards a table where he saw Mary and Jimmy sitting on opposite ends of each other and having a cup of coffee smoking some cigarettes.

“Ey, the man breaths, nice to see you didn’t put yourself into a coma, sit look over the menu fast kid I’m just starving here and you can tell by the look of me I don’t miss meals all that often.”

Jimmy was a stocky fellow though he wore it well, he took pride in his gut as if it were his way of saying to the world ‘I eat what I want when I want how I want because I can, you gonna tell me to do otherwise’ kind of deal.

“Let’s get to it though shall we, I know Lorenzo has his suspicions already about Eddie making deals with the other families trying to make money off this possible war and if he continues to act in this way he’s going to cause more trouble than is worth having him around for. Though we need to prove one way or another where it is exactly his loyalties lie and how deep he is in with the other crews. Sending him down river in a wooden box might speed a long a war too, one we ain’t ready for quite yet. It doesn’t take a genius to know the he’s in with some of the other crews but Mary and I can’t really get that information from him directly, we are here more for keeping tabs on him and on his clientele see if he has some regulars that have connections with the other families things like that. But where you come in is the direct dirt to confirm some of our suspicions and to get us something that we can use to get rid of him in a peaceful manner. Mary tells me your trying to get him talking from a business angle I think you can work that in on him pretty well just be prepared to take that story as far as it has to go so I’ll have a guy come in and work on it with you, he’s the family’s lawyer and he’s got himself a silver tongue so he can coach you properly. I think that’s all we got for you right now at the moment keep up the good work and boss will send you a nice reward for you time and efforts I guarantee you that much. Got any questions for us?”

What does Joey do next?

A)     Joey says, “Yeah, as a matter of fact I do, if that’s all you got for me and if that’s all I need to do then the last thing I should be having to do is spend my days locked up in a room with the two of you.”

B)      Joey says, “What is with all the protection around he smacking me around I’m starting to get tired of it, as a matter of fact I’d like to have a guy detail for me just in case things go wacky with Eddie or I feel I need a set of muscles to make me look more legit and protected.

C)      Joey says, “Yeah, what’s good on the menu I’m starvin”

for A, definitelly no no. teh story doesnt ends here.

for B, it might make him soudn like his asking for too much. But shows that his thinking. but would make him mre oheavily involved into mafia

then you can keep your ideas and questions to yourself, trust no-one and such. Then if things get too deep you can just jump ship and skip town. Or follow through and stay loyal, or wack Eddie and run off with his cash. Either way, you can do what you want if you keep things to yourself.

Even though there was a million questions he had in his head swirling around that he’d love to ask, he held it in for now.

“What’s good on the menu?” Joey asked,

“I’m starved.”

Jimmy smiled and said, “I’ve already order, I hope you love steak for breakfast because this is the best steak and eggs you’ll find in the state if not the country!”

He didn’t really, but when the food came it was soo good that he ended up enjoying it a lot.

There were hardly anymore words spoken for the rest of the breakfast that is until Jimmy stood up and paid the bill and left.

Mary then turned to Joey and said, “Look Joe I gotta be frank with you here, I gotta know … do you really want to do this because this isn’t something you’re going to walk away from for the rest of your life. This is a choice that you gotta make and one that you have to live with so make sure you know your okay with this otherwise I might be able to convince Lorenzo you’re just not ready for this kind of life and you don’t want to get caught up in places and business you shouldn’t be in, you get what I’m saying kid?”

“Look I appreciate the concern but I’m grown and I can make my own life choices, I have nobody in my life to care for and hardly anyone here that cares for me, I’ve got nothing to lose from this, is it my first choice probably not, but it’s a way to make a living and keep myself alive its something I’m willing to do. In this life you gotta look out for number 1, yourself, if you don’t nobody else will, and if you’re constantly looking out for somebody else you’re not going to make it very far. So I know what I’m doing, I know what my options are and I’ve weighed them out, if you got a problem with that then say something …”

Mary leaned in and kissed him on the cheek and whispered softly into his ear, “I know what you’re saying I just wish that for once I could meet a real man that would stand up  to these types and not let them oppress his free will and desires for life. I thought you were that kind of man maybe I was wrong about you.”

As she finished she began to turn and walk away …

What does Joey do next?

A)     Joey grabs Mary by the arm, spins her back around his gives her a deep lasting kiss and then walks away before he or she would say anything.

B)      Joey says, “You really don’t know me at all then, and how could you, your just as bad as the rest of them you let Lorenzo rule your life more than any man working for him, your just a dumb whore!”

C)      Sits back down, takes a few sips of his coffee and plans out what he’s going to do for the rest of the day.

(OOC) It is shorter this time because instead of doing one longer peice a week I'll try to make more shorter peices and then update them 2 or 3 times throughout the week, hopefully we are able to get at least two suggestions in support of an option so that I can keep the story going, this way you won't have to wait soo long, but I can only do it this way if I get enough responses to move on, thanks again readers for your support, let me know if you think writing a few shorter ones per week is a good idea or not then I can go back to the old way and try to make them weekly longer bits, Thanks!
