Scout glances over all the bickering and arguments, tossing a ball up and down with his left hand, while the right clutched his trusty, but slightly dented, base-ball bat. The young man, after finally able to sort through all of the talking, throws up the base-ball and smacks it across the area with a perfected swing. The crack echoes out as the ball sails out to god-knows-where. Scout then peers over everyone, lending onto his bat. |

Scout, if you read properly, the statement was to show what a poor decision it was to come to the streets with such an uninspired speech, one that would only cause more trouble for the city you reside. |

I stand by my original statement that that this is a naive, ill conceived speech to make at this moment in time, given the current position of Las Vegas. One thats full mixed messages from all parties of the current LV hierarchy. But I get the point, I know what your insinuating. The doors are closed but ‘officially’ their open to tow the party line, and any undesirables will be met with a scowl and a grimace
Irrelevant of whether there is any outside interverance resulting from any takedowns. All it takes is for a decent hitter with nothing more than a VWP status, a pro-wacker or two in hand and they could easily wipe out Las Vegas without so much as breaking sweat to claim the city for themselves, and I very much doubt you’d have the firepower to prevent it happening. You wouldn’t have the time you need to flourish, establish and train up. Whether they last much longer after that is beside the point

Jax-, I don't think it would be an easy task for even a good gun and a very well protected one to wipe out the current organized city of Las Vegas. It's very possible but certainly not an easy task if that gun is jumped on right away as you can only move with 2 Hands and they wouldn't have time to build more of a crew. Of course this is obviously a risk the people in Las Vegas are willing to take. To you it may seem stupid but to me it's commendable to see them make this move which drastically increases their chances of survival in my opinion. There was nothing stopping a big gun with some protection from stepping into Las Vegas and wiping out the competition before. At least now they face a challenge if they choose to try and do so. |

I think Jax means if someone with a decent brain went to vegas with his/hers two hands to Pro him or a plan similar to that then it would'nt be too difficult to take out the Vegas top brass.Blurarsky nobody is writting anyone off just pointing out some flaws in this announcement and too why this has put vegas under a tad more pressure drawing more attention to themselfs. In my opinion this announcements has put Vegas in somewhat of a disadvantage, and nobody asked them too just sit and look at each other either. |

blurtasky, how do you see me as "dissolutioned" im only stating facts about the city and state that they are currently in. Granted they do bare a different set of rules as other cities but for most parts they operate as a "normal" city would. |

The rule wasn't bent. There was an incident where Las Vegas didn't keep their dirty laundry to themselves and, instead, threatened another city. So that city stepped in and preemptively removed that threat. I would expect nothing less from any other city. However as long as Las Vegas abides by the rules they are protected. Protected from any individual leader that might want to send his friend out to Vegas so they take it upon themselves to scorch the Earth in front of that friend. It's as water tight as the Godfather Council's word is. To say it's a rule that can be "bent" is to say the Godfather Council will not live up to their word. I have faith they will. |

"From now on, you come to Las Vegas, trying to set up your own crew, and not discussing the entire matter with us first? There won't be a very warm welcoming. Right now, we're settled in nicely, and we're all working together for unifying Las Vegas under one banner. If other people start showing up with their own agendas, that isn't going to fly, understand? |

thats what i was thinking JohnSmith putting pressure on themselfs for no reason. Alot of people could be tempted just to waltz in and test that metal of their bold words when as you said...they have no fucking right |

I'm not putting words in your mouth, space-pole. You said you know of an instance where the rule was bent. I'm simply pointing out that the rule will not be bent if the Godfather Council lives up to their word. I'm apparently not aware of this incident you speak of where the rule was bent but that certainly doesn't mean it didn't happen. If it did I'm not so sure I'd be out here telling people I was part of the process since it calls into question the integrity of the whole process. |

Lola leans back on her heels, sucking her breath through her teeth and slowly whistling it out again. She steps forward.
I'm a little surprised that the squabbling continues here despite the fact that a member of the Godfather Council has already spoken and those now attempting to rebuild to Las Vegas have clarified their intentions several times.
In my opinion, what they are seeking to achieve is not at all naive. They are making their first tender attempts at progress in a city which requires a colossal amount of commitment. Rather than sitting on their behinds, they are already proving themselves to be proactive and highly communicative; in what universe are these qualities to be perceived as anything else but those of leaders?
I will concur - with respect to those leading Las Vegas into a new era - that the initial statement was perhaps a little ambiguous. However, as anyone would like to expect, they came forward and made their intentions crystal clear. There is no debate over whether rules have been broken; as I already said, Godmother Worley's presence is testimony enough to that fact.
Would it be so unthinkable to reserve hasty judgement until such times as Las Vegas has found her feet? Can't we accept that this is precisely what HighSociety et al are trying to do, and let them get on with it, at least until any negative judgements have some sort of evidence to back up their claims?
There are no 'red flags' here, nor are these men dangling carrots above the noses of those who may be tempted to make a move on their efforts. Such accusations are entirely unfounded and, as is so common on the Streets, inflammatory.
The only flag I see is that of Las Vegas, tentatively pitched at full mast now that the city holds several families and is ready to move forward and join the rest of us in This Thing Of Ours.
Where is the honour - remember honour, anyone? - in trying to tear it down before it even flutters in the wind?

If by closing the city doors are the only way to allow Vegas to come into a new and for a Godfather to rise and join it so be it. |
