Who: Jezabel What: Glitter Why: There's glitter everywhere, all the time. Last week I woke up with glitter in my mouth. There's glitter in my pocket lint. I still have glitter embedded in my fingerprints from when I wiped it off of my laptop. I can't escape, you can't escape. The glitter must be accepted, celebrated. Long live the Glitter. Sneezes violently |

Who: Rico_Lansky
What: Best Admin Jail Ratter
Why: This guy clicked the RAT drug button so damn much that he got 420mins of admin jail time during Madoka's event. Nobody clicks a button faster than him and just the pure skill and determination it takes to land on exactly 420mins of jail time? Come on this guy needs a medal, or maybe he needs a chest to pin it on…I don’t know I'm not the judge here. |

Objectively there have been relatively few 'standout' characters and truly memorable moments during 2025. My personal preference is towards those people who bring something to the game as a whole by being more than just a name. This can be through an action or a thread, which generally involves doing something, which then grows exponentially from there as these are the most memorable and tend to make the greatest impact upon the experience as a whole. For me there have been a few worthy of acknowledgement, two of which I have quoted previously but will elaborate on further below: TonyTheTailor has been brought to the fore the Russian gimmick and specifically the Gulag aspect of it. Not something I've seen done before and the widespread adoption of it and desire for others to join in and become part of the lore is something we always need. UglyInbredGeorge championed the BG and HQ auditing business. It caused great amusement and very little harm. Nearly everyone enjoyed it until it was brought to an abrupt halt by killjoy Shane. Similarly to the Gulag, for a time, this was big news on the Streets and created something which multiple crews were involved in. I feel that Tony is a solid shout for MVP as he has contributed regularly whilst running a crew, which is not an easy feat. I do feel however that the Best Street Posts of 2025 goes to someone else:
The most memorable moment of 2025 is reserved for "Burgerhousing". This term was coined due to the unintentionally hilarious brent and his calamitous tenure as Godfather of Chicago. BuckBurgerhouse was his LHM who was then shot at by his leader, missed, demoted repeatedly and cast out in shame. This was recorded here: https://mafiareturns.com/comm/thread/2282035#343572712. But Burgerhousing became a phenomenon of its own with notable victims such as Otis and Ranger falling prey to the tactic, with often hilarious consequences. Can we recognise the best bad decision? I dunno but I want to and it is certainly not something I will forget. |

Who: Cassiopeia What: Most beloved slacker Why: While she may not have played many hours this run, she remains one of Mafiareturns most beloved people. When she enters lounge you can bet that her adoring fans will flock from the shadows, increasing lounge activity, for the rare sighting of our mafia queen. But really, who doesn’t love Cassi? |

Who: Kuku What: Most unmotivated troll Why: The guy has just lost his mojo. The Streets are safe from his Eagle eye and razor sharp wit. He's suffered ego death. Does anyone care? |

Triple T / TonytheTailor gets my vote for MVP, and is a player (I personally feel) has won 2025 on MR. Honourable mentions for many, many people I’ve carefully considered, including my own CL who (for similar reasons) is one of several worthy runners-up. I came back to MR in summer 2024 after a 10 year hiatus. I didn’t know the lays of the land, but from then right up until as I’m typing this, I only ever wanted a bit of engagement with the community, to build a character and have fun clicky-clicking along the way. I believe last summer was a fairly similar time in which Tony parked his stolen Fiesta ST at these shores, so in my eyes, our experiences over the last 18 months have been somewhat parallel. Following the collapse of the former ‘regime’ and the shift to power that resides with the current user base of uppers, Tony has been a constant. He’s took the reigns himself as a CL, made the streets much more of an enjoyable place to read, inspiring others, managing the job board in his corner of the game with expertise and spearheading the whole comrade / CA concept. In the coffee shops he is omnipresent, appears to engage with, well, everybody, and seems like a generally all-round good guy. MR is a better place because of him, and he seems to me to have a stake in a lot of the wholly-positive direction the game is taking. I won’t kiss his arse too much - and again there are notable mentions for many, many others, Si and The Dude for starters, but for me he’s doing everything for the good of the community and not letting anything internal or external really sway him at all. This isn’t some fellow logistics experts underground clique either. To counter-balance this, he has a shit accent and wears them daft hats, but we can’t all be perfect. Triple T for MVP. |

I would like to clear this up though. The idea for the current gulag was actually by accident and it was introduced by our comrade leader, TonyTheTailor. It has been a wonderful time involving many people across various cities. |
