Piggeh exits his apartment to step out into the street and make his way towards his soapbox. The clouds part on cue and a ray of sunlight beams down to complement his perfect complexion, physical features, and rugged good looks. Several songbirds appear and perch on Piggeh's shoulders. Women from all over the neighborhood are inexplicably drawn to him. A few begin tearing off their panties and throwing them in Piggeh's direction... Ladies, please, there will be plenty of time for me to please you and bear you sons. For now, we have important things to discuss. Being the altruistic gentleman that I am, I hope to benefit today's crew leaders with my words of advice. I give of myself freely, and ask nothing in return. What I wish to ask today is simple.... WHAT IN THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? Christ sakes, I hate you all. I have been looking around the streets hoping to see something of interest. Something that would reflect this period of peace and prosperity that you seem to be experiencing. During tumultuous times, everyone is walking on eggshells and looking over their shoulders at all times. Monotony is not excusable during these times, either, but I understand it. What's the excuse now? You have all the time in the world. Everyone seems to love each other and all are coexisting in peace and harmony. So what are you doing with this time? Being a crewleader is not about seeing how long you can live. It is about taking charge, creating something, leaving a lasting legacy. FOR FUCK'S SAKE, IT'S ABOUT TRYING TO BE REMEMBERED FOR MORE THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER YOU DIE. For as much as so many of you hated the CP, at least they did something with their time in power. What's the point of wearing the bold suit if no one will remember you were ever in it? I would rather live for a week and be remembered than live for six months and be forgotten. If you do not take this opportunity by the balls, you are doing nothing short of embarrassing yourself, your children, and their children. People will say, "Remember so and so's family?", and the answer will be "ummm...no". Congrats, champ. You were a shit leader. You did absolutely nothing with your chance. So far, browsing the streets, I have seen a tax implemented in Detroit and Philly declared a consequence-free mugging zone. There are five other cities to the best of my knowledge. What's being done with those? That's quite a few mafia bosses who are sitting on their collective ass and admiring their reflections in the mirror. My oh my, don't you look great in a bold suit? Answer: No, you don't. Remember, Clipper has been in bold, too. You are nothing special. A tard wearing a bold jacket is still a tard, and until you do something with this opportunity you are given, you will die and your legacy will be no different than several before you who made absolutely no impact. Right now, I can see that Marietta will be remembered for "Tea Time" and for making the rank of Godfather (not Godmother, you fucking mongs). That leaves quite a few other leaders, and trust me, you will all, without exception, be forgotten. Do you really want to disgrace yourselves this way? Is your legacy going to be..."Hey, I was a CL once...durrrrr". Please, take out your pistols, place them to your heads, and pull the triggers. Nobody likes you, not even your friends. You were adopted, as well. Fuckers. Die. |

You are just saying what alot of people are thinking. as per usual, You've come to the streets and put it in a way that people will listen to. Hopefully this will spur some people into motion and pull their acts together, Alot of people are bored. There probably would be alot more rogues if they could actually be successful, But due to the WS's of misses going out we dont even have rogues to keep us entertained. I do hope your back to stay Pig. |

Hear Hear Ita sbout time someone said this, a leader should actually lead not simply sit back and do nothing. It will be interesting as to what the leaders themselves make of this speach. I applaud you piggeh for your straight up honesty. |

Believe it or not, Loefah, there are people who don't like leaders who think for themselves, speak out against rules past leaders established and value family more than the community. People are fucking thrilled when leaders like that die. On the other hand there are people who appreciate leaders like that no matter how short their time in bold was. There was a lot of advice in the speech we just heard, but the thing I hope people remember the most is your legacy is not how long you live. It's what you do while you're alive. Live like there's no tomorrow because in our business there might not be for some people. |

It just saddens me when it takes a civilian in our world to point out, as iMgNaMaKeUrEyEzBlEeD said and others hinted at, what everyone is thinking. If everyone is thinking it, why is nothing being done about it? As Mirage said, your legacy is what you did, not how long you didn't do it. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. |

Boooooo, hiissssssss... Denver shouts abuse and throws stuff at Piggeh like a displeased child. Just because you can't see what a leader's done for the game doesn't mean they'll be forgotten in 2 weeks Piggeh. How about the lasting impression that someone can make on you when they're your CL? Try to consider all the views, not just an outsider view. I know people who will remember crewleaders because of how awesome a crewleader they were when you're in their crew? Those crew members will remember you for longer than 2 weeks, and that's more than enough for me. Fuck everyone else tbh. |

| I think what piggeh is saying is the kind of impression a leader can make beyond that of their members. Some leaders want more than "to be awesome" in the eyes of their members. Hell, some leaders take pride in being an asshole tot hose around them. Being awesome is not making a difference. | |

El Nino, I have my opinion of what should be going on. But last time I shared my opinion I had a price on my head. So, to save everyone trouble, I'll keep my words to myself this time. But perhaps you misunderstood me. I wasn't trying to snap back and state what a leader should or shouldn't do. That's their prerogative. Denver was stating that being an "awesome leader" was sufficient and I was merely remarking on my belief that Piggeh meant more than just that. |

Pig, whilst I agree with the underlying message in what you are saying, we all know it is far easier to say such things at a lowly rank than it is to 'play them out' at a high rank after many hours of hard work. Where were these sentiments when Iris was in charge and your ancestry was at her right-hand? They weren't as bullishly forthcoming as they are here, that's for sure. As you point out, Monotony is probably understandable when times have been turbulent. However, during the not-particularly-turbulent times when your forefather was in a position to influence, or even manipulate, the direction of this thing of ours, there was nothing of note forthcoming from his relative position of power. Instead, he did what most people do in that situation and sat tight in the monotony. There are a couple of decent initiatives taking place and it's evident that some are endeavouring to improve things, just like it's evident some need a kick up the arse, but it's always that way. I'm sure many of the CLs would love to leave a lasting legacy but you of all people, the self appointed counsel, should know that it's only by treading eggshells for a while do you ever really get to a position of strength where you actually carry the weight to see things through, make things change and leave said legacy. To me, this is even more so in the current days where we have many more auths than has been the norm in recent times. Power/Strength, beyond Godfather Marietta and associates, has been diluted. |

The sad answer to this question is... yes. Quite a lot of them ARE happy to sit there, do nothing and be remembered for nothing. For some reason this place has a habit of letting nobodies, nothings and complete window lickers get into power. I'm not for one minute suggesting that every leader right now is my regular window cleaner, however, reading from my pappy's memoirs history does have a habit of repeating itself here. You'll just get the same response... "Rank up and do something about it!" lollykins. |

Obviously you forgot, or chose not to mention: The Cuties One Liner policy, for which we received copious amounts of abuse. Despite being vilified for it, we weathered the storm and pushed it through; because we are real mobsters who want to do things properly, or at least differently. The LV Business District policy. Granted, not the most ground breaking thing to be developing and building on; but the freshness coming from LV for this alone certainly warrants some sort of recognition as, in the current climate, this alone is more than we've seen from others. The recent notification from Lss Vegas regarding the Casinos. Already people have argued that throwing away hand outs it's not the most Mobster like activity to engage in; but we're at least trying to advertise our city and boost it's reputation along with the Casino coffers. Again, this alone is more than we've seen or some others. So, if you want to give the community as a whole a crack on the jaw for not actually doing things, at least research the matter so you don't dump our town in that category. |
