I would also like to add my views on your original speech. The hot points being the definition of family and Don speeches. I agree a lot of things have lost their true meaning in this world, coming to the streets and expressing concerns on such is a start to bringing the problem to notice. Like you have already said, maybe the manner was not the best but I do think the intentions were good. Don speeches, reaching the ripe old age of Don is praised in this world. Let them have their parade if they so wish. They deserve it; do they not? |

Ox's speeches are about the only thing keeping me interested at the moment, it is a refreshing break from holding hands, skipping and group sing songs that have become the norm. I agree with most of it this time too, good job. One point Ox, and everyone else for that matter, can we please stop referring to ourselves as "La Cosa Nostra". I don't care too much for tags anyway, far less an innaccurate one used by FBI scum to describe us. This is cosa nostra, we are not la cosa nostra, not to mention the fact it doesn't make sense in our native tongue if you are of italian descent. |

Alfredo, are you serious? Unless you want a thread on how fucking brilliant it is to laugh at the moany child of someone who you just shot, then it may not be a particularly good idea to ask Butt what his "favs" are. Although, it is generally quite amusing to shoot someone you don't like and laugh at their child as they whinge and whine. Back to the topic of hand, I'll adopt my absent mind style nodding for the most part. However, I must make a remark on one of my own pet annoyances, which is when someone gets preferential treatment due to who their daddy/mummy/nan etc etc was. If you weren't one of the more renowned bloodline relatives of these parts Butt, I doubt you would be acting so blaswhen it comes to courtesy and respect - two of the main things that will keep a mobster alive in these parts. |

Well, I have to say one thing, in this debate of opinions. I love Butt_Ox. Once again, his bloodline, comes to the streets and makes a speech on things, that other people are to afraid to say. I respect that in Butt_Ox, and it's rather amusing watching him tell everyone off. Viva La Butt_Ox. |

I miss these sorts of discussions. God bless you Butt_Ox. This is the shit I get out of bed for. And may I throw some weight behind the "North Americans speaking like the British" hate of yours. Whilst I, and I'm fairly certain the rest of the 'British Isles', take umbridge with you calling us British (we are an Island of individual tribes governed by a King/Queen) we much prefer to be called English, Irish, Scottish or Welsh, seeing people speak like us is interesting to say the least. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I am led to believe? However allow me to fully explain, in this instance the North Americans (and lets face it, the rest of the nationalities currently inhabiting the 7 cities) are actually mimicking North Western English slang. "Aye" however is Yorkshires own term. It's utterances are grouped together with people who say "erm" when speaking in public. That is to say it is considered to be said by people of sub par intelligence. Something to consider. |

I'm going to start bending all you OOCitis sufferers over my knee one at a time and give your asses a nice whoopin'. If you can't even hold a normal street debate without bringing in wild fantasies and delusional visions, throwing out words that many of us barely understand, then you shouldn't be on the Streets at all. Marietta levels a glare at the gathered mobsters before continuing. People often forget that just because they don't like what they hear doesn't make it true. Butt_Ox, in this original speech, has called out not only the "BFN" who seem most outraged by this event, but just about anyone else who was guilty of the other four. Do I call this place a community? Sometimes. Have I been married in the streets? Once upon a time when I was young and pretty. Have I received numbered postal mails as a present? More than I'd care to comment. Does this make me one of the subjects of his speech? Yes. But am I offended? No. Certainly not. I take what he has said, listen to it and analyze it from his side of the fence, and realize "Oh, maybe he has a point". If you don't agree with him and can't see his side of things like many of you probably cannot, why bother standing out here on this cold Monday evening and even wasting your breath? If you all cannot behave like men and women apart of this Thing Of Ours, then don't open your mouths. All I saw was a few well-spoken men and women fighting to say something between all the childish bickering that took place. Do not forget who you are or what you represent every time you part your lips to speak. If the common civilian heard what had just happened here... I shudder to think. Marietta walks away, drawing her coat closer to her body. As she stumbles across the paved road she mumbles to herself, "Babies in the business place? Who knew!" |

Dearest Godmother Marietta, the reason you may see that BFN is the group most outraged by Mr. Ox's speech, is because we were the only ones in the speech directly called out. Yes he called out many other groups of people in our world, but not by name such as BFN being part of his annoyances. I do not mean to start another debate or anything that may come to mind, but to state the reasoning behind BFNs outrage. Believe me, there are other, more vulgar, discussions that occur between the members of BFN in private and in our coffee shop, but due to us being at least somewhat civil, we do not discuss them here on our fine streets. |
