The Neverland Bar Started by: Rayln on Oct 23, '15 16:37

"Always quick to a pun." He chuckled. "You've always been a bright one..." He nodded to the Bourbon. "How many of those have you had?" She didn't look at all glassy eye'd so he assumed this was her first of the day but the reference to bathing in the blood of dead midgets could mean she was drunk. If not then she might be a psychopath. Either one was good.

She raised her hand and ticked off her drinks on her fingers, "I had a shot with zizi," she said, "My business partner." She glanced around the bar and couldn't see the other woman, "My very silent business partner." she said with an eye roll. "And then, I had a strawberry shortcake, with Nixe," she said as she pointed to her friend drinking the milkshake. "And then, Rossi tried to buy me a drink, but alas as the owner all of mine are free." she told him. "So unless my liver is on vacation..." she told him, "I'm still sober as a judge."

Report Post Tip

"So how many drinks is it before we can consider you tipsy? Twelve doubles? I remember the way your liver operates.. it doesn't take vacations, it only works overtime, all the time. Then when you think it might be done it gets a second wind." He nodded. "All I know is I can't out-drink you, at least I couldn't." He frowned for a moment. "Wait, did you say ZiZi? Who on earth named their child ZiZi? And more importantly WHY would they do that?"

Report Post Tip
"I agrees"

Rossi slurred from the end of the bar.

"Zizi is a weird name."

He promptly fell off his stool, disturbing the floor-glitter.

She nodded her head at MagicalTrevor "Something like that, most likely." she told him, "Although a few glasses of wine and I'm shit faced. So maybe my liver just prefers some drinks to others."

Rae chuckled, "They named her after what they knew she'd love." she told them both, "And boy oh boy, does she love them. Can't get enough." She said with a giggle before hopping over the bar to nudge rossi with her shoe, "Christ man, are you dead?" she asked him. "You had two drinks, your old age has really effected you." she told him with her hands on her hips. "And look, you've crumpled your pirate hat!" she added as she shook her head with disgust.

"See, this fella agrees with me." He said nodding to the guy next to him before he seemingly passed out again. Then the explanation came and still only made a smidgen of sense. "Loves ZiZi? Is that some kind of lettuce? One of those fancy organic types I suppose. Costs more than it's worth." The guy next to him didn't seem like he was in good shape, perhaps one of those who shouldn't drink.

She nodded her head, "Besides, I like the way pesticides tastes." she told him, "I figure if I eat enough of them, I might become a super hero." she said, "And there is nothing I want more than to be able to fly." she tapped her chin, "Except maybe to be a unicorn."

He laughed and finished off his drink, the burn of too much vodka riled his throat.

"I don't have a clue what's going on any more. Drink with me. Down in one?"

He didn't feel much like drinking but a birthday was made for such antics and tonight he wanted to party like he was twenty five again. The passing of time had been relatively kind to him, he didn't look too old and could probably still pass for five years his junior but the clock was ticking.

"So what have you been doing with yourself? Business looks good."

He tipped the shot back and poured yet another. Rayln knew he'd be good for the money. Eventually.

She tossed back the rest of her drink, "Ah, what the hell." she said before pouring another bourbon for herself.  "And to be honest, I'm not doing  much these days." She said, "Just trying to run this place with Zizi  which has turned into me just running this place." She shrugged her shoulders, "And yourself?" she asked him as she sipped her drink, because she was a lady.

Report Post Tip

"You know me, I don't sit still for long. But recently it's been about making as much money as possible so there have had to be some sacrifices, it's been hard you know."

He poured another shot and tipped it back and wondered how he didn't have more grey hairs than he already had.

"It's been stressful and time consuming and all consuming..." he paused. "..and stressful, if I didn't mention that before. But enough about that, what do I have to do to be as drunk as this guy here?" He pointed to the fella who was passed out on the bar.

She leaned over the bar and looked down at Rossi's prone form, snoring away. "Apparently have the liver of a little girl." She told magicalTrevor with a wry grin. She stood back and took another sip of her drink, "Work is one of life's necessary evils, apparently. But you know what they say." she told him, gesturing with her glass, "Major in something you love, and you'll never work a day in your life. Because that field probably isn't hiring anyway." She told him.

Report Post Tip

"Hmmm well I don't have the liver of a little girl so I suppose I'll just keep refilling my glass until I can't see straight and I get involuntary erections before passing out." The next shot didn't sting hardly as much. "Would you like to join me for food? I hear there's a nice place to eat not far away. Table for two. Candles. Only voluntary erections."

Suddenly the business next door, Midget Wranglers R' Us, started creating a terrible racket. "Oh Jesus." she muttered as she rolled her eyes, the sounds of shouting and crying filling the room. "You'll have to excuse me for a moment." she said as she hopped up on the bar and grabbed the broom before pulling herself up on the plank. She walked across it and then headed towards the stairs. She got to the second floor balcony and then started banging the handle of the broom against the wall, "For the love of all things holy, stop crying. Stop screaming. Stop existing." she yelled as she pounded the wall. "NO ONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO IT. NOT ON THIS, TIARA TUESDAY." she shouted at them through the wall.

Report Post Tip

"Jesus, they are so loud. Are they always like that?" He was impressed with Raylns agility, she had probably been some sort of cat in her previous life and that skill had transferred over. It was then he decided to help her by throwing his shoe expertly at the wall and yelling from his seat. "STFU ANGRY MIDGETS!" The shoe bounced back to his hand like a smell laden boomerang. "A handy skill to have.." he said "..especially when there are screaming midgets around." For now the terrible screams had stopped so he slipped the shoe back on. "You didn't answer my question!" He tapped the bottom of the glass on the table then downed it's contents. "It would be fun, I promise."

She sighed and banged the broom a few times on the wall for extra measure, "If you can't stay quiet, leave!" she shouted at the wall before heading back to the bar. She tucked the broom back where it belonged and downed her drink, "They're like that more often than not, it seems." she said. "You should hear it when the big people come in an join in with the yelling." she sighed before hoping back over the bar. She picked up her drink and took a mouthful, "Flattered, as I am." She told him, "Probably not the best idea." she told him.

Report Post Tip

"And why on earth would you say that? I'm not sure why you think it wouldn't be a good idea? Why wouldn't it be a good idea?"

The booze had made him start repeating himself but he wanted to know so it was likely to go back and forth like this for a while.

"I'm good company and more polite than most would have you believe. Plus I'm LOADED now so what's to lose?"

Report Post Tip

Nixe, who had previously disappeared in search of a bathroom, took that moment to appear. Materializing in his seat, the male plopped down, eyeing Trevor and Rae with a skeptical gaze. "So, what did I miss?" He asked cheerfully, disregarding any obvious tensions in the air.

Report Post Tip

Rae smiled sadly at Trevor and said, "The last time you took me out, you set a goat on fire, ripped off your clothes and demanded to be crowned king of the goat people." she told him. "And I just don't think I have the energy to deal with that." she told him. She turned and smiled at Nixe, "Well you were sure gone for a long time." she told him, "I was about to send in the fire department." she told him with a laugh. "And you've missed..." she looked around, "So very, very much." she admitted.

"There's too many damn decorations, I couldn't find the bathroom," the brunette explained with a wry smile. He felt the need to explain himself, to say that it was more than just getting lost in a sea of faux trees. That he hadn't spotted the signs, or anything related to the sort. That he had fended for himself, in Rae's big, bad world of imagination. And survived, no doubt. Okay, maybe Nixe was getting ahead of himself here. Overthinking the topic, and such. At the mention of missing a great lot, his bright eyes sparkled with curiosity.

"Oh?" Nixe asked, before leaning forward on the counter, propping his elbows up on the wooden surface. "Please Rae, fill me in?" He had time, after all. The youngster wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon. Not that he had the money to make an emergency private jet back to his homelands - the brunette rested on the poor side of the spectrum.
