I tend to reply to a speech before I listen to what previous people have stated.Just forget I said anything,as it probably doesn't make sense and I am (probably) drunk or high...

You're right. It doesn't make any sense at all.

As you may have guessed I'm not a extremely vocal member of our society mainly stemming from inadequacy issues or how my mother rejected me, but that's for another day.

Pickpocketing, I admit, its fucking annoying. Having some dirty little bastard rummage through your pockets isn't going to make your day, but I pose you the question "What do you expect" we're not model community leaders here we're thieves, crooks, the people you wouldn't introduce to your family. If you really expect these thieves to respect your position or that you are a member of our glorious society you need your head read! At the end of the day there are no rules, respect or any of that mumbo jumbo in this thing, its all about who brings in the most money and who's the most ambitious. Believe me I'd love respect and honour to be incorporated into our world, but I'm also a realist. And if you are so ambitious that you'll consider rolling over a Godfather or to a lesser extent a made member then power to you!

Coming to a higher ranked members point of view, it is annoying to have to dash to my personals only to see that I've been pickpocketed by a scruffy prick and not that Gwarble has sent me millions of dollars. But really, five grand, chump change. If your so peeved that you have been grafted, plan to rob him/her or better yet blast him/her!

So. Pickpocketing. Should you be able to opt out?

If you are over the rank of Made Man, a respected member of this community, and you get a tattoo that reads 'No pickpocketing' then you should be left the fuck alone? Surely it is a matter of respect. Goombas, Earners and Wise Guys rifling through the pockets of a Made Man when he has gone out of his way to ask you not to. Is that not sending the wrong message to those that have not yet been given their button? They cannot show them open disrespect but they can steal their money? Surely we cannot let that carry on?

If you have a tatoo reading "DON'T PICKPOCKET ME!" then there's a better chance I'll pickpocket you, because I'm a wanker. But in a way I do agree with you, its a uneven keel, you can rob a made guy for five large but not call him a c**t in public, to me its the same thing, and should be treated as the same and carry the same punishment.

Okay I've waffled for a bit just to try and grab some public attention. I'll come to a conclusion. If you are pickpocketed don't be surprised, it'll happen, if your that pissed, act!

Basically you are just saying that one can insult as long as they are not trying to be insulting and that as long as one has a "persona" then they can go as far as to tell every button man and higher that does something he doesn't approve of to shove stuff up their ass.

I'm saying he didn't 'insult' anyone. I'm saying that if you are saying you feel insulted by the way he choose to put what is and was a turn of phrase and are now attempting to make a big deal of it that you should grow a pair and learn to take comments in context and not be over literal in what is said but to look at the intent behind the words.

When Gwarble does it, at least he writes a disclaimer.

I find pickpocketing to be a lot of fun when I'm not around killing shit. I mean, why waste the chance to use my weapon if I'm not planning to kill anything in the very near future?

The fact is, pickpocketing has no benefit for you in protecting your family or your city. You gain nothing from it and you lose the ability to jump in to protect yourself or your city if the need arrises. In this thing of ours, you can't predict what might happen ten minutes from now (DISCLAIMER: That isn't a threat... or an insult, just to be safe.).

So that being said, isn't true that Chris just said that people like me "are the biggest two dollar-no-fifty cent-no-aw take all the quarters nickels dimes and pennies, put 'em all in a bag and stick 'em straight-up-your-candy-ass sluts The Rock has ever seen!"?

Yes. And I agree 100%. For the reasons I just mentioned, it has zero benefit to you and only has potential risks and costs.

And mind you, I wasn't planning on being a dick. But more than once I held a snide remark just to avoid the hassle of having people misinterpreting my words but if one can just say insulting things as long as they do it with style, then I don't feel the need to hold my tongue any more.

If you can trust that those around you have the intelligence and ability to take comments as they have been intended (or for some have the intelligence and ability to put words the way they intended to, which isn't always the case either) then it shouldn't be a problem. The problem only occurs when a martyr decides to ignore context and intent and instead try to brew up a storm in a tea cup over what was obviously not a malicious or insulting remark.

I like to keep others on their toes and help them be aware of their surroundings so I sneak a hand into their pockets and they go by.  If they notice they are doing well if they dont I educate them.  and hopefully it wont happen to them again.  There for I go around helping people on the streets RIGHT!
