Well - this is it, our very first weekly newsletter put on the OoC boards. I'm sure some of you are wondering "what the f-" well... each week, our crew has a newsletter which brings our members up to speed with what's happening in the crew and on the site. We've sent this letter out to people who send us donations (not in the crew) and as a result the newsletter spread. I started getting requests for the newsletter to be sent out to people not in our crew and at first it was a small handful. Then... it grew. So, a suggestion was made that we should throw our newsletter in the OoC board for others to enjoy and thus this post.
Today marks 40 days for Ivory Tower v2.0 as a crew - way to go everyone! We're gearing up for Spring Event 2018 and we've got a decent team of volunteers lead by our own Matty who are going to make this site-wide event one to remember. I know we're still learning how to do these the best way possible, so encourage everyone to make notes about what worked (and what didn't) so that we can improve for our Summer event! If you want to host an event for the Spring Event, please reach out to Matty as soon as possible so we can make sure we have it on the schedule in time for pre-event promotions.
I'd like to take a moment to also say welcome to our new Left Hand Man... Matty who did such incredible work for us in The Ivory Tower v1.0 and now that her and SullivanBlack are all settled into their new home I know we're going to see crazy great stuff out of that team #BestHandsEva :) I also want to welcome our first three Street Gang Leaders: Allera whose gang isn't yet named, Raconteur whose gang is also still choosing a name, and GangsterPriest the leader of Figjam I'm so excited about seeing you guys compete in crew contests and bringing your enthusiasm to all you do here at MR.

THE IVORY TOWER APPRENTICE - Officially we have no contests or tournaments for this week as we ramp up work on Spring 2018 event... BUT as some of you saw in the crew chat the other night we are preparing for our first ever street gang vs street gang contest! This will be a tongue in cheek parody of the TV Show "The Apprentice" with large prize packages and a possible street gang leader position on the line. Shooters 101 Class - I was asked to host a second class since rescheduling caused so many people to miss out! I am going to try to screen capture and upload this to youtube and make it available to the whole site within the next week. Barring that we will schedule another one in the coming week. Shooters 101 goes over calculating your wack-stat aka Marksmanship score and hit-through so you know what you can safely shoot at and most likely hit successfully.
Crew Made-Man & Above Meeting - Where: To Be Announced When: March 25th 1:00:000 Game Time (GMT) aka Saturday March 24th 9pm EST / 6pm Pacific What: One hour with the CL (and any leaders who can be available at that time) to discuss what we've done so far and what we're doing going forward. Family RP Ideas: Big elaborate plots aren't always easy to come up with for large groups who have limited posting times... so generic ideas work best (parties, events, etc) where people can come and go as they please and fall out of contact on and not ruin it for the rest. So I'm looking for as many of these as possible. If you have some, please send them my way!
Family Event/Games/Contest Ideas: Got to see something you'd like us to do? Let me know! I'm always looking for new ideas for what we can do as a family. If you have a cool idea, share it and if I can't run it personally I'll find someone who can (maybe you - if you feel you can't, we'll find another!) So let's hear your great ideas!
Newsletter Editor: NEW! Our subscriber list has grown each week to the point that I was sending four mass mails each week just to get it to all our followers... hence why it's now here on the OoC board. Contact me if you've got ideas and are interested in helping with this project. To give you an idea of your time dedication for this, this newsletter takes about 2.5 hours to prepare (not counting financial data which WON'T be part of the editor's duties) each week.

HOW DO I MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY? - When composing a mobmail you will see "enable WYSIWYG Editor" this stands for "What you see is what you get" disabling this will take the extra formatting code out of your mails and can make it FAR EASIER to copy information into spreadsheets.
