| The last episode of this final season was actually really good. The 5th was a catastrophy...but in the end everything more or less makes sense and probably matches with GRR martins idea of how the story should end. Hopefully he completes his writing since the books are far better than the TV show (and I really liked that :) | |

I know how season 8 goes as bloody spoilers wherever you look. Ended pretty much as expected in some ways. Going to have to try sit down and actually watch it soon though. Time be a precious thing! |

I mean the ending was alright. It was a pragmatic solution that no one really wanted. Just sending Jon back to the wall seems silly. I don't know if they could have ended it in a way I would really love, to be honest. |

I wasn't impressed, they could have done so much better with it then they did. What they really needed was to take this past season and extend it into two. Would have built the story lines so much better, instead of just rushing to finish it off. |

And now all of us will need to wait for the books out to see what George R.R Martin comes up with for the ending :( |

The pacing of the last season felt rushed. Nonetheless, I thought the ending was an interesting, satisfying- but not to the fullest extent- conclusion. |

The finale was okay if you temporarily forget that they completely fucked up the rest of the season. If you forget that they had characters do and say things that were contrary to what the characters had done or said before. Forget that they completely botched the Fall of Also, everyone should check out this hilarious (and accurate) Game of Thrones Season 8 Pitch Meeting on YouTube... |

spoilers aheadbut I bet everyone has watched it by now
So the ending wasn't very good. Truth be told, lots of people disliked it just because they didn't want Bran to be the king. I don't have an issue with Bran being the king, but the story so far makes me hate the ending. -Bran has done absolutely nothing. Most of his story was centered on the Night King and as we all know, the Night King and winter part of the show was shit. He intervened only slightly with the plot, for example when (together with his sisters) sentenced Littlefinger to death or when he told Jon about his lineage. -Speaking of Jon's lineage, IT HAD NO IMPACT AT ALL. All that happened was that he no longer wanted to sleep with his aunt and caused the "rightful heir to the throne" issue. So what did Bran achieve by letting Jon know? He helped Dany go mad and burn King's Landing. He must have known that will happen, as he knew he would end up king in the end (Why did you think I came all the way here?). -His first action as a King is to let his sister have her own kingdom, independent from the throne. WHAT THE FUCK?? Also he proceeds to fill his council with likeable characters who might be not suitable for the position (Brienne, Tyrion and Davos are totally fine). Releasing a member of the Night's Watch from his duty and trusting a sellsword with the royal treasury looks bad (the writers probably went with it cause they wanted familiar faces in the council). What I've watched so far makes me think that Bran is someone who let thousands of people die so that he ends up a King and gets to make all sorts of terrible decisions.
Other than that, Grey Worm makes no sense at all, the Council is a joke (half of the people there were biased in favor of Bran, the other half would have normally just said "oh being independent is an option? yeah we'll also do that") and Davos telling the Unsullied to start a House was just comic relief. I like how Dany died, I don't have any problem with the dragon letting Jon leave since the story holds dragons as mysterious extinct beings so they can get away with the dragons doing whatever they want imo. |

| It was rushed and not done very well imo. Dragging it out wouldn’t have worked well either, however this should have been a full series | |

Was all a little underwhelming in my opinion with some lazy story writing for certain characters. Take Cersei for example, for the past 7 seasons she has always been one or two steps ahead of her enemies. She's always had a cunning plan going on in the background, yet now she just stands there while her city is burning and again while debris collapses on her? Nah. |

I have never in my life seen one single episode of this show. Just going off what people said about the ending, I am kinda glad i didn't get invested. :( |
