A part of me is starting to think how fitting it would be if the battle against Cersei went poorly and the 'heroes' had to resort to desperate measures. The sort of desperate measures that have created monsters in the past of men who died and were reborn as something else. After all, Bron would know how to do it. It would be a way to wrap everything up in a lovely cycle that traps Westeros into repeating the past as it seems so fond of doing. It would also explain that creepy smile...

I feel like if you come into a thread titled "Game of Thrones Season Eight", you should probably expect some spoilers. Especially five+ days after the episode came out. 

• High valeryian is bad about pronouns.  The prophecy of the 'younger brother' might be younger sister.

 True, but, the Valonqar prophecies are book only, aren't they? IIRC, they left that out of the show. 

Plus, Arya doesn't want to be and most importantly, she's a crazy assassin who probably shouldn't be in charge of anything. Not to mention she works much better in the shadows. 

I'd much prefer that the wheel be broken, like Daenerys suggested, but by ending the era of the Iron Throne. Just melt that thing down and figure out something different. It's caused way too many problems in Westeros. Especially for the little people. I'm hoping that by the end, they'll have a more representative form of government.

Wasn't the prophecy about Cersei also revealed in the show somewhere in like, season 5?  I feel like with Jamie riding back to KL it's sort of setting up the fulfillment of that prophecy.  Also, the line about Varys dying in Westeros was another prophecy from that Red Priestess a few seasons ago - could also potentially be in play as well.

Predictable yet shocking.  Really enjoyed that episode and I'm glad I got up early to watch it.  Will do the same for next week too.

Practically, at least one of the arrows should have hit Drogon. Jaime should have died because of the critical stab wound. Other than that, I think the best episode of season 8, till now.

I was prepared for a depressing but meaningful ending but this makes no sense. She could have gone for the keep directly. I'd be ok with casualties around the keep but the whole city...

Damn good battle.  Still no ending tho.  Queen Daenerys has shown her true colors.  She is every bit as diabolical as Queen Cersei.  She showed no mercy.  Jon may have to take the throne after all.
