There has been a lot of talk recently about Las Vegas.  But what came before the current system in Las Vegas?  Below is a contemporaneous obituary, written about Canucklehead.  Canucklehead was well known in Vegas, and beyond.  This is what our roving reporter had to say at the time

"Today an attack was launched on Las Vegas.  One of the first to go was Canucklehead, a Don of massive ambition.  She was killed very early on in the strike without having had a chance to fire her gun.  She was a controversial figure, detested by many. 

She served Chade faithfully, waiting patiently until he made Godfather.  Privately, she let it be known that she felt JimmyNapoli was picked unfairly to Godfather before her but, realising that she wasn’t powerful enough to do anything, she stuck by Chade.  Canucklehead had a ruthless streak and often champed at the bit to attack smaller cities.  Her bloodlust apparently knew no bounds and she once came very close to attacking SL on the most preposterous of reasons.  The attack was averted due to concentrated lobbying and clever use of PR.

Perhaps Canucklehead’s most controversial, and most effective, action as part of LV’s leadership team came when she somehow unmasked a rogue element in Las Vegas.  A Consig in Chicago, EvilClown, had introduced a friend, TheJackal, into this thing of ours and suggested he go to work in Las Vegas.  Whilst in Vegas, TheJackal was approached by representatives of an Underground group and introduced to Limitless – TheJackal agreed to vouch for him.  Limitless was, in fact, a Kuklinski, deep undercover in the heartland of their then number one enemy; Las Vegas.  An audacious attack had been planned for some time – some details of which can be read here and here.  However, Canucklehead, in an astonishing piece of detective work, somehow identified Limitless as Kuklinski.  Limitless was mercilessly gunned down.  TheJackal soon followed and TheJackal’s Consig friend in Chicago was sure to follow. 

However, Consig EvilClown struck first, attacking Canucklehead.  EvilClown’s bravery was in vain, though, and he was shot and killed soon after the failed attack.  However, someone soon took his place – SpacePole stepped up to the plate and shot at Canucklehead also – but also sadly missed.

A tragic post-script to these killings occurred – Ozan paid his respects at EvilClown’s funeral – and was shot through the head for doing so.  A Consiq, Chicago LHM, shot dead in one of the first signs of Roman’s detachment from reality.  But more was to follow.  Tarbh – shot dead for protesting at Ozan’s callous killing.  And finally, and most shocking of all,  Roman stormed into a pet shop, picked up a midget and began pistol whipping him.  When he tired of brutalising the diminutive figure, Roman dragged him out onto the street; a feat made easier by the rollerskates he had on.  There, and very publicly, Roman shot the poor little man through the head.  His name was Rory, or something.  Needless to say, such actions drove many into the hands of the Underground, firmly laying the groundwork for the continuing revolution across these eight cities.

Canucklehead was scathing of the Underground in the Streets – her opposition to what they stand for (unity, bravery, honour, justice) was as steadfast as her sycophantic devotion to those who formerly held power (Roman & Prem).  She wanted, nay, craved, Las Vegas to be a Chi/NY style powerhouse.  But it would never be.  It was, instead, a hothouse for rogues and a haven for the Unknown Assailants.  And riddled with informers. 

Canucklehead was much like the city she longed to run; never destined for greatness and extremely problematic.

Please note that this is not a reflection on Las Vegas today - it was about Las Vegas then.

aldflainue reject my offer to become my Associate.  Instead of learning from an intensely intelligent mentor, she would rather try and kill me.

Why would I want to be the associate of someone who glorifies themselves above Jesus? I have no desire to work for someone who thinks they are actually an important piece of this community other than comedic relief.

*Jesus Christ was an important and influential thinker.  He took to the Streets and said what he believed.  Others listened and acted accordingly.  He had his detractors.

I certainly wouldn't place my glory above that of Jesus Christ.  Similar modus operandi but ultimately, JC did unto others what he would want done to himself.  I am slightly more selfish.
