In a certain way, if you spend a lot of time arguing in this thread, one could get their hours up to acceptable levels. I wouldn’t recommend it though. Feels like this loop of petty arguing is partly why the game stagnates from time to time. It’s also difficult to find new people willing to step up knowing auth is a bit of a cesspool. Perhaps we might just have to wait. Supposedly the game is forcefully changing since it’s hard to get us to change, so we might have more fun in the future. I just can’t see why arguing over something silly like this is worthwhile when it otherwise isn’t for a cheap laugh or to fuck around. I do feel like taking breaks from the game from time to time is very helpful. Clear your head a bit before going back into it. Have a good mindset for when you want to try something new or expand your horizons. |

Its pretty simple really if you have a job where you can be on and grind you can get good stats for everything and if you dont have a job you can do the same but if you have a job where you have to show up then you only have access after work. Or you can just waste time pointing out other peoples shortcomings instead of looking at your own. |

More times than not stagnation is the core of this wonderful thread. And it is always rich to hear the difficulty on getting new people to step up. (auth) That has never been true. I cannot count on two hands how many authed a new person in the last 14 years. But the truth to be told some stepping up is in order. I am going to be optimistic that the changes will be for the positive. But the bottom line is we run this and change has to come from within ourselves. |

There are 397 users. 339 of those 397 users are already in crews. There are 107 open spaces in the current crews - 17 in Chicago, 18 in Detroit, 31 in Las Vegas, 29 in Los Angeles, 6 in New York and 4 in Philly. Of the 58 users not in crews, 26 are active unsponsored players who could in theory join any city in the game given the above. Therefore, at best, your new player auth has a total of 26 potential people who could join them, assuming every active unsponsored player wants to join a crew and that the crew they want to join is your hypothetical new player auth rather than anywhere else. With that bit which demonstrates there is absolutely zero demand or need for a new auth anywhere out of the way, who is the new player auth you've got your eye on who wants to be authed and is being overlooked? Who are their RH and LH who are going to stay active and be active regularly in chat to keep their option to deal drugs as a crew? If you find me 3 new players who would like to lead, commit to being active and posting in chat regularly, I'll auth them today even though there is no demand for that whatsoever. Then we can check back a week later and see how many of the 26 they've recruited and how much the game has improved as a result. Let me know. |

I wasn’t exactly advocating to go out and hound new players fresh off the boat and jump up in their face all like “DO YOU WANT AUTH? YOU WANT AUTH? HEY YOU WANT AUTH?”. Making that assumption is a bit silly. Pointing out the 26 “active” players when you know damn well a majority of them are only “active” due to the <7 day mark is even more silly. I’m not the crew leader here, so I’m not one to be giving out auth or deciding who gets it. That should be your job. I am a sponsor though however, and the hope is you find someone who eventually could fill such a role. Sometimes you get lucky, often times you don’t.
We should point out the irony of the prior statements though considering yet another Godfather has lost their position due to inactivity of their hands. Seems like a prime opportunity to install some new auth, but apparently we don’t need any of that here. Tsk tsk. |

I wasn't talking to you as your reply was ages ago and TheTrashTruck's was both today and directly before mine making it seemingly obvious that my reply was to her, so I'm not sure you would think anything I said was about you. Since you've said that little diatribe, to clarify, I didn't think or suggest you were advocating anything nor do I believe you can auth anyone. See above. The 26 active unsponsored players is a game determined stat on the rebuild page. I'm not sure what you think is silly about it or why mentioning it in reference to asinine assertions that new blood are desperately waiting to be authed only to be overlooked is anything but pertinent. The demand for new crews, in general, simply isn't there. Every city has space. There were nearly 5x the number of spaces to active unsponsored at the time of my previous post. Adding another further dilutes an already space-saturated market, so why is another auth the answer to that? Now that I am talking to you though, who do you suggest as a new auth we so desperately need around here tsk tsk? |

This gave me a chuckle. I did contemplate coming back here to make clear that I was referring to the overall past years as we've heard so often it's hard to find new auth. However I decided there was no need. I did emphasize over the past 14 years. In no way was I suggesting or pressing for new auths now. I agree there is no need and tipped that fact. Toodles. |

My contact symbols represent various things. There are a lot of them, roughly 50 contact groups. They were remnants from me copying and pasting from the original post, in which I had removed someone as a favor. Oh well. There was also a double up on Donnie and the Labradoodle which was fixed. |
