I asked chatgpt to give me a definition of spam.

"In short, spam is unwanted bulk communication that provides little or no value and often poses a risk."

The risk part is a stretch I guess.

We will start explicitly with this one guy. He returned to DT to go bold again and take GFC again because MichaelHaller was gunned down. He came in announcing we will make DT great again but went to sleep immediately after that announcement. So we shall call him one of Simons container crews as the ones he sent to Chicago.

Let's give him a wee bit of credit. He crawled out of his cave. to purge Allie on his deadbeat crew and Original who I refer to as OG on Reggie's crew. He barked and went back to sleep.

Here we have one of DetroitSimons peeps assigned to Chicago after he initated the bloodshed of this city. TGT had no stakes in this city and called it bullshit. I wish Caveman had stuck to his "I have no interest." But here we are with another  prop up. Might as well call it a container crew.

Here we have a guy who lives and breathes power. Sort of like a sense of entitlement. His kin was recently in bold and was gunned down. He was low keyed prior to being gunned down because he had the gun he wanted. It certainly must run in his blood to build a gun ASAP because his lights are barely off.

His kins past weakness are surfacing when he killed one of his own yesterday.  Mr-randomguy had not been around nearly an entire day when he killed him with a no WS needed.

I thoroughly enjoy the reading of other people's opinions. It fascinates me to see what goes on in their head and how they come to a conclusion with absolutely zero foundations to back it up with.

I believe some people have less time than others to play a game. However, they have equal right to hold positions as those who have more time. There is a bottom line of one hour for a reason. If those joining them understand that their leader or their hands have less time to invest and they still wish to join, then that is their right to do so without the attempt of being shamed.

Bjorn however who is on the other end of the scale you assume its because he wants a gun. Anyone who knows his family line would most likely agree with you. Have you not considered that at this moment in time he has time off of work and therefore plenty of time to invest in playing a game he enjoys playing?

Why such negativity? This toxicity gives me a headache. Let's make love and not war in places it's not needed.

If there was no requirement for this many auths, there wouldn't be this many auths. I have been a CL for nearly a year across 3 accounts having not wanted to do so any of those times. The mechanics of the game and the survival of the people in my crew demanded it. And now, as the game demands that we must ensure coverage and HQ spaces, so that crew has been forced to split and split again, and again until we end up here. If it was up to me I would never have split the first 30 in Bricktown and I would have had a much more enjoyable time from then to now. There is no ulterior motive. The people bold now have answered the call required of them. You were well placed and could easily be one of those leading and I'm sure that would have been quite the spectacle, but instead you retired to come and moan in OOC and send me stupid little mails which I laughed at before putting them in the bin with the rest of the trash. Just like always. So give yourself and your kin a day off from talking about them because we've all seen this show before and nobody cares.

Report Post Tips: 7 / Total: $320,000 Tip

You ignored my entire point Simon. You traded those that wanted to lead, for people that you wanted in the place, and now we get the aftermath of that: leaders who are nowhere to be found. Now you are surrounded by your own yes men and your own infrastucture is crumbling. Now the 100 people to join are going to be forced to be with "container crews" waiting for their own moment on the chopping block, no story, no ambition, no legacy. If 30% of those players are fresh accounts, why would they want to come back?

Moan? Call it what you want but you did not laugh. As a matter of fact you made it a point of mentioning John Fareham. How long ago was it that man buried himslef?

It's very interesting that now that you are the head of the game instead of trying to make it better and actually accept the rule of new leaders you're just running off those that aren't a part of your "life-long friends" group. The only socializing you ever do with people is either brief, or demoralizing, most commonly the latter. You're a bully who's gotten too much power and is slowly suffocating the game that we love.

Report Post Tip

You're conflating in-character decisions for the betterment of my character with OOC decisions for the betterment of the game. It would be healthiest for the game to have the most active and engaged people playing their hardest, creating the most dynamic and interesting characters for the longest period possible. Power would be finely balanced, there would be things to strive for and a reason for crews to compete for things which regularly put them in opposition to each other.

Unfortunately, that isn't the game and in my opinion former Chicago was hardly something I would place on a pedestal and try to emulate in any event. It was in my character's best interest to remove and replace the leadership in Chicago. As I've already explained, new auths are required and thus need to be found and because there is not an abundance of people who would like those roles generally cajoled into taking them in whatever manner they can muster. That isn't great but it is the reality of a 20 year old game where leadership is about as unrewarding as it has ever been.

To your wider, unfounded criticisms, I try to strike a balance as best as I can to make the game as enjoyable for the many as I can without compromising myself and those people in my crew too terribly. I've actually been trying very hard not to kill off people who aren't part of my "life-long friends" group to be honest. So have others. There are many such examples of this but if you would like the most relevant to you, cast your mind back to those months that you, the village idiot, were allowed to freely participate and enjoy the game in whatever way you chose. That courtesy has been repeatedly extended to virtually every person who signs up, even to my detriment because the game will be shit if we don't do that.

At some point, probably sooner rather than later, my character will die and others will rise up and place their veneer over things. You will celebrate. The veneer will then begin to peel because the same underlying problems will still exist as they have for many years. You will then retire an account and complain loudly in OOC about how much better your kin were than the current leaders. My replacements will put your mails in their own bins amused at your lunacy. Welcome to the past, present and future of MR.

Report Post Tips: 4 / Total: $80,000 Tip

The death of John_Fareham does deserve re-examination.  I'm preparing a brief as to why and it will follow soon.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

On the one hand, the death of an RHM some years ago isn't remotely relevant to the world that we find ourselves in today.  Death is what we all face in this world.  But on the other hand, John_Fareham's (JF) fate in many ways embodies that which is both good and bad in our world.

JF was from a controversial bloodline, but he was a loyal and dedicated RHM, shot dead in a case of mistaken identity.  I believe that his CL didn't really mean to kill him and regrets it.  JF had considerable support following his death, and his conduct in the years following show that the experience of being a responsible RHM did wonders for his understanding of how this world works.

Case in point, JF's descendent recently had a go at running a crew - he tried a maverick approach, and was shot dead, long before he should have been, by Monarch.  Who?  Monarch, yeah, him.  I barely know the guy either, he's a CL who is thus far best known for murdering another CL for the flimsiest of reasons and not even having the decency to explain why he did it.  What a total degenerate scumbag.

Sadly, for every JF in this world, there is a Monarch.  Somewhere in between them, the maverick and the epitome of the banality of evil, is DetroitSimon.  DS (not that terrible loser DeadlySin, DetroitSimon hereafter known as Simon to avoid mistaking him with the walking disaster DeadlySin), sorry Simon, has something of JF's maverick spirit - he motivates people into leadership, allows for innovation, and encourages individuality, and a little bit of Monarch's pure evil: he killed at least two people without having an extremely cogent rationale.

Going back to JF's killing, if we recall, someone totally unrelated to JF told a joke, I can't really remember the content of the joke, but I think it was quite funny and not remotely related to JF, his boss, or even the city they were situated in.  JF's execution came about because of JF's sense of humour - it was simple mistake.  A joke was misreported, and a loyal, hardworking, top earning, huge donating RHM was killed.  Like I said, there were serious repercussions afterwards, and if I recall correctly, we saw the deadliest war that this thing has seen in at least a decade afterwards.

But all of that blood washed the stains of the JF lineage away, and nowadays a Fareham is one of the most welcome linages in this thing of ours.  When Monarch is struck down, as he will be, because he is expendable and stupid, nobody will miss him.  Fareham is missed and always will be, because, in death, he became something bigger than he was in life: a symbol.

A symbol of change, for the better.  A symbol of forgiveness, for he did not seek revenge.  A symbol of innovation, because he proved to EVERYONE that change IS possible.

I am a descendent of JohnFareham, and I take the trust, belief, and encouragement of my many fans seriously.  And I take all of that positivity and I hand it to Simon and say "keep going, son."

Simon won't admit it, not least to Caveman (the less said about him the better.  JFC, what a stinky loser), but Fareham acts as a consultant to the upper structures who want to change (which is why Monarch murdered his father).

Should we keep talking about Fareham?  Yes, yes we should.  Is there a more consequential figure in this thing of ours over the past decade?  I can't think of one.

As I leave you to ponder the many pertinent points that I have raised, I ask you to decide whether or not you want to see positive change.  If you do, get in touch with me.  If you don't, get in touch with Monarch.
Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

As someone unfamiliar with this small slice of history, I must say this Monarch fellow sounds like an absolute brute and that JF seems to ring all the same bells that his (almost) namesake JFK epitomised; charisma, adoration, political astuteness and a general eagerness to improve the lives of his brow furrowing subjects - such is the Democrat way.

With these traits, it’s little wonder envy reared its ugly head. Jealousy and disdain are oil to the aqua system of our thing. Respect and honour are the linchpins which ensure our traditions and values thrive; they’re the gatekeepers of our way of life.

Which leads me back to the CL of JF (GRHS) - was it REALLY a mistake, or was said CL also guilty of jealousy? With a plethora of positive traits to boast of within the Fareham line, was it really a mistake or something as simple as envy at heart of this brutal assassination? Curious minds must know!

Report Post Tip

Tony, this goes way back.  Maybe even to Lincoln_Lawyer's ill-fated writing contest.  I don't think JF was killed out of jealousy though, he was a happy go lucky fellow who people liked - no jealousy, no spite.  It just happened

Report Post Tip

Then that truly is the plot line of a Shakespearean tragedy novella. Sometimes the worst of us must be culled to allow the flowers to bloom - however, a careless match thrown at the wrong time can be every bit as deadly as the lawnmower. One can only hope contrition was sufficiently sincere because it does sound that (even though unintentionally), the citizens are the ones who have lost out most - save for JF himself, of course.

Rest in peace John Fareham.
