Pro-wacker: An individual in the employ of a family whose value is not based on the efficiency of their gun but rather by the ineffectiveness of their weapon. Typically a low ranking member, this individual's talent lies in their ability to shoot at a specified target without causing harm, thus generating protection for the target. This protection lasts for four hours or until the protected individual uses their weapon in an attack of their own. The process itself is simple; the pro-wacker points his weapon at the targeted individual and pulls the trigger. If the target survives the attack it is a successful pro-wack and he/she can now enjoy the benefits of being pro'd. Pro'd: Shortened form of the word protected. The effect one achieves as the result of surviving an attempt on one's life. Whether through an attack generated by a pro-wacker or through a failed attack by an assailant during times of war, the enhancement is the same. The pro'd individual now has the luxury of not being able to be attacked again for a span of four hours or until using their own weapon in an attack, whichever comes first. A very valuable effect to aquire during war, it affords the protected time to carry out plans and get into position for an attack of their own at their leisure. One can still travel and commit crimes while under protection without losing it. The effect is negated early only by using their weapon or through the use of a headquarter wack on the protected person. Pro-wack: The term is used to describe the act of firing one's weapon upon a targeted individual and missing, giving the target the effect known as being pro'd. This act can either be a "friendly fire" attack designed to deliberately give the designated target the effect of being pro'd, or the outcome of a failed attack on an enemy combatant. More rare, it has been used by some individuals as a way of raising their own defensive prowess through the direct action of surviving an attack. Every attempt on one's life that is survived is said to raise one's defense. Some carry this zeitgeist to the extreme, counting on the poor attack effectiveness of the shooter to make this action a viable "almost' risk free endeavor. Some carry this school of thought straight to the grave. |

Auth 1) Shortened form of the word Authorization. A term used to describe the process through which a viable candidate is selected to start up a family of their own. Typically this process is initiated by the candidates own Crew Leader and is relegated to the same city. Viewed as a strategic move, the outcome raises the population of that city, generating more income and an enhanced business district. Sometimes you will see the "authed" individual set up a headquarters in one of the other cities, away from their parent family. This gives the parent family another city in which to set up, generating both a new base of operations to further one's criminal empire and a valuable source of new revenue. 2) A term used to describe the process one utilizes to attain the ability to attack another individual that is either three or more ranks above or below them. Auth is generated by a request through the war drop down menu, and is granted by either the CL or RH. It is also said that requesting and receiving auth enhances the power and accuracy of one's gun for that particular attack. |

MR: Short for the name of this game "Mafia Returns" eg: "Hey mate can you jump on MR please, we gotta hit someone" IG: Short term for "in game" eg: "nah not real life mate, i meant IG" SCL: Sub crew leader, some crew leaders decide that they want a smaller unofficial crew, and the term SCL implies the leader of said crew. BG: Body guards, the term is as obvious as it sounds, it means body guards people hire them to protect themselves, there are 6 different tiers. 1: Not protected no BG's at all 2: Protected 1-7 BG's 3: Well protected 7-13 BG's 4: Very well protected 14-27 BG's 5: Extremely well protected 28-49 BG's 6:Obscenely well protected 50+ BG's |

IRL: Acronym for "in real life", most commonly used on IRC. "I'm actually in Detroit, irl. Go me!" HS: Arcronym meaning "Hit squad". Refers to the family's team of hitters/shooters, who serve to protect the family should a war break out or should a rule breaker need to be dealt with. "Wow, it's an honour for you to invite me to join the HS. I can't thank you enough." HSL: Acronym for the "Hit squad leader". This is the person who runs and organises the HS for the family. They assign hitters to their targets, identify the main targets and help plan every aspect of a war. "The HSL told me to hold my flight and shot, so I'm doing exactly that." SC: Acronym for "sub crew". A family is sometimes broken down/organised into smaller groups of members, often called a 'sub crew'. Each sub crew will have a leader (normally referred to as the crew capo or SCL) responsible for the day to day running of the sub crew, on behalf of the CL. "Hey, I think we've just been put in the same SC. It'll be a pleasure working closly with you." SCL: Acronym for "sub crew leader". The person responsible for the day to day queries that SC members, especially new players, might have. Some SCL's may choose to appoint a SC RHM/LHM to have a clear line of command to assist new players in their absence. "I was delighted to see I got you as my SCL. If I've any questions, I'll be sure to let you know." |

LHM: Left hand man, a trusted associate of the crew leader that they are with, and care-taker of the crew when the crew leader and his RHM are away. RHM: Right hand man, in charge of family affairs when the leader is away, the word of the right hand is as good as that of the crew leader. Often their actions can be seen as the direct actions of said leader. nfp- No fuckin' problem. Commonly used on irc(or so I'd imagine,) and in game, in reference to being told/asked to do something. IE; ForkRourke: Sammy, would you please go belt-whip Rourkey? Me; NFP! |

Admined; A term used to describe being killed by an administrator for violating a game rule. "That guy just got admined for spamming." DD, DD'ed; An acronym meaning "Dishonorably Discharged." Refers to the status a person receives when an administrator kills their account. "That name got DD'ed because it was inappropriate." Duping; A term used to describe the creation of multiple accounts by the same individual, in violation of game rules. "He was caught duping, and was killed by mario." Dupe; 1. A term used to describe a secondary account created by someone in violation of the rules. 2. A term referring to creating multiple accounts, in violation of the game rules. "I have never created a dupe." "I do not dupe." |

Chicago: An abbreviation for the city of Chicago. Example: High barbs in your city? There are low barbs in CH. NO: An abbreviation for the city of New Orleans. Example: High heroin in your city? There is low heroin in NO. PH / Philly: An abbreviation for the city of Philadelphia. Example: Have you seen Johnny Two-Shoes? He is not in PH. LA: An abbreviation for the city of Los Angeles. Petty Crime: A crime commited by mafiosi to gain small ammounts of cash to gain enough for drugs. Usually considered for very small jail time. Felony Crime: A more severe crime that earns more money, or more jail time on occasion. |
