Payday: A function available from the "HQ" page located under "Management," it allows a user the daily ability to receive a small allotment of funds from the crewleader's bank. Example: I was running low on cash, so I took a payday from my leader. I hope he doesn't mind. |

Mobmail: An in-game message sent to another user. It is the most common form of communication in the game. Example: I was going to be away for a few days, so I sent my leader a mobmail detailing when I would return. |

Retire: A function where a user is able to end their current account. It is located under the "Management" tab under the bar on the top of the screen and requires additional confirmation before the action takes place. The word is commonly used both in game and on IRC. Example: Mitch was tired of his life of crime and being in a crew he despised so he chose to retire his character. |

Dishonorable Discharge / Dishonourable Discharge: A term used to describe the death of a character who committed some illegal / unwanted action in game. Examples of this include: multiple accounts, racism, discrimination, inappropriate names, or just general conduct determined by the Administration staff as "unwelcome." On the account profile and the Obituaries page under "Status," the player's death state will most likely be "Dishonorable Discharge" instead of the usual "Dead." Example: Jonny12 and his dupe accounts jonny13 and jonny14 were all Dishonorably Discharged after Mario found the multiple accounts. DD: An acronym referring to "Dishonorable Discharge." It is frequently used on IRC. Example: Did you see that Mitch_Babayaro got DD? Apparently he was being racist in mobmails. |

Button: A term frequently used on IRC that refers to a person's promotion to the next rank. It has slightly been phased out by the addition of a newer format for promotions, but the term is still used. Formerly in the "Crew" page, a click-able feature labeled "Promote" would appear next to a person's name when they were able to be promoted to a rank of Made Man or above. This "Promote" piece was commonly referred to as a "button." Example: Don Premeir, could you please check to see if my button is in yet? I just passed my minimum time for Capo. |

Min-time: A commonly used slang on IRC referring to either the minimum time to reach a specific rank or the fact that one achieved a rank in the minimum amount of time to reach it. Example 1: Anyone know the min time for Made Man? It used to be 15 days, but now I think it's less than that. Example 2: I can't believe I just min-timed Capo! I didn't think I had the points, but I guess I was wrong! |

Lockdown: A term used both in-game and on IRC referring to the act of closing a city. example: Godfather ThomasRourke of New York was worried about shooters attacking his crew so he initiated a lockdown on NY to help protect his family. |

I'd like to amend this with a small change: Tribute: The act of donating money to your crewleader which in turn also gets added to your family earnings. It also refers to the amount of money automatically paid to your crewleader from every crime you perform. A crewleader is able to adjust how much they receive in tribute from their "Crew" page by changing their individual tax numbers. Example 1: I will send you 1 million in a tribute, Death-Knight. Example 2: Success! you grabbed yourself $826 after sending up $354 in tribute. |

Taxes: The amount of every crime, felony, drug run, and multi user crime that a crewleader takes out as a tribute. A crewleader is able to change their tax percentage via their "Crew" page under Management. Example: Since taxes were off today, I was able to keep all of the money I made from my drug run. |

Protected List: A term used both in-game and on IRC to refer to a list of members not to be shot at after a leader's death. Example: After the death of BrianRourke, Marietta put his family's members on a protected list so they would have time to find new homes. |

Stealth or Stealthy: An attack on you that has gone unnoticed by yourself and by innocent bystanders. Skorpeon has some great stealth. I did not know he Pickpocketed me until he sent me the money back! |

Unidentified Assailant: Someone who pickpocketed you and it went unnoticed from everyone. A stealth attempt will result in an Unidentified Assailant personal. An unidentified assailant took $5000 from you. |

Permanent Authorization / Perm Auth: A one-time permission granted by one's crewleader to give a selected family member the ability to shoot at any user they choose regardless of rank for the life of their account. It is requested under the War tab of "Get Auth" and is granted by the crewleader under their "Crew" page. Example: As a Capo I needed to shoot at a few inactive gangsters so I requested Perm Auth from my crewleader. |

RIP: An easy to use acronym both in-game and in IRC meaning "Rest In Peace." It is usually left in individual funerals, carried in one's profile, or mentioned on IRC when discussing a fallen user. Example: RIP BrianRourke, you were a good man who wasn't very well known. |
