I like the Ben Hope series of books by Scott Mariani. Obviously if I like them, then I like the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child. I also suggest the DI Tom Thorne books by Mark Billingham for a more gritty and realistic look at the seedy underbelly of UK crime. |

It's been awhile since I cracked one open but Brian Jacques Redwall series is pretty enjoyable. It is a bit weird, talking animals living sort of like medieval humans, but once you get into it they read like heroic legends. None that I've read ever got too mystical but I think a fantasy fan could get some enjoyment out of them. I liked Redwall, Martin the Warrior and Salamandastron the best. |

Clockers, by Richard Price is excellent. If you're from the UK and interested in modern history, then GB84 is required reading. |

I recommend Carol Dweck the new psychology of success, sounds like shit, but she is using super easy psychological approach. Bottom line, in life, you can say OK, I am done, I failed or after you fail, you can say that you learned something new :) You learned how not to do it! Stay safe! |

My Sisters Keeper is a good 'feelings' book. If Science fiction is more your thing I would really recommend The Circle. |
