I am a Media Specialist which is a fancy way of saying I film and edit video and audio. I am fortunate in that I absolutely love doing it and don't dread going into work (my bedroom office) every day, which is something that cannot be said for previous jobs I've had one of which was building cardboard boxes...

I’m currently working as a electrician apprentice mainly working on home remodel installing a bunch of chandeliers outlets ceiling fans and running wire for hot tubs mainly. I’ve been doing it for a little over a year so I have a bout 2 and a half years left before I’ll qualify to become a journeyman electrician.

The big ass semi trailers that MRChaChaSlide was talking about receiving I deliver them. Sometimes I do live unloads but most of my deliveries are dropping a trailer and hooking up to another. Easy job but if you don’t do the trip plan properly then you end up being late and shit.

So I work for Pepsico, in their R&D department. So I get to play with new versions of Capt. Crunch, Gatorade, life cereal, Quaker Granola bars, and some other stuff.

 

Basicallly our pilot plant is a little baby production facility where we make small test batches of a butt-ton of different things.

Im a CNC machine operator.
You give me a block of Alloy or some stainless steel and i will mill something awesome out of it.

I took 3- year deree,   then as i got older at worked as a 4, year apprentice and then became a journeyman printing pressman. about 24 yrs of it then my health got worst.  3-heart surgeries, and a diabetic now  relly feeling totaly different way   ,, seems  like you lose yourself. then this covid'BS'  is even worse.

I drive the boo boo bus. I’m a paramedic.

The job has evolved in the last handful of years though - so it’s more than what you think when you watch TV.

We have collaborated with Public Health here in Canada - which has led to us vaccinating and surveillance swabbing for COVID. We also do well being checks on patients who are high users of the EMS system and hospital systems. We’ve actually been shown to reduce hospital admissions and EMS calls with our work - so we’ve gotten funding from community healthcare for that.
