Indoor we have 2 waste, 1 recycle, and each bathroom has one. Outside we have a recycle, a waste, and a smaller recycling one.

I just bought a new house last autumn and am now down to one bin. There is no recycling service here (although I take my paper and plastics to recycling facilities on my own) so no bin for that, just a common trash bin. I had four bins just a few years ago, so this is a real culture shock for me. I am only now beginning to adjust.

When I used to live in my grans house there were 6 bins in total. But that was because it was one property that had been split into 2. Now that I have my own house there are 3 outside bins along with 5 internal bins. 1 gen waste in the kitchen, 1 for food waste. Then a bin in each bathroom 

I have three bins. There should be a fourth for garden waste but in all the time I’ve lived here, none of us have ever had one. In some places there’s even a little dainty indoor one for compostables but they’re just something we see on television. Just plastic, paper and general for us. We get by but the collection on general is only once every three weeks, which is utterly unrealistic. 

I have eight bins - one rubbish, one recycling (plastics, glass and metal), three boxes for cardboard and then two green bins. Finally there is a food waste bin, but we don’t use it because it just gets full of maggots - so that goes in the general rubbish

3 bins I guess.  black for cardboard, a bluebox for recyclables and a big blue dumpster bin for garbage.

My redneck mother in law has a big barrel that she just burns all her garbage in.  She even has a fire jacket to go burn her garbage.

At home they call me Binderella. I have a bin in every room, sometimes two. I also have a laundry 'bin' I put my dirty pants and socks in for when Barbie can be bothered to wash them.

Luckily I only need clean pants for date night 

Right now I love in a block of flats that has one great big bin in my side the buildings. It's getting out of hand in the next block where the bins are over flowing

One, one big, thicc of a dump truck type of bin. Everything goes in, plastic, bio, paper, cardboard, everything. Bottles, metal pieces. 

I’ve got four! This most unexpected turn of events, has furnished me with the full set. I now have a garden waste bin, even though I do not own a garden. This new unrequested bin will sit now, forever unused. Immaculate as the day it was moulded. All praise the superfluous bin!

Green bin - plastic 
blue bin - cardboard / flatpack
Black Bin - glass / paper.

Where I live currently, there isn't great access to composting services... so sadly just a black bin for general trash and a blue bin for recycling - everything BUT glass. We have to take the glass to a separate facility - it's so silly.
