What's for dinner tonight Started by: FastFingerFreddy on Sep 22, '23 22:26

well, we didn't eat in a restaurant that night, and we managed to pick up some ready meal snacks from a local supermarket, all washed down by two bottle of red wine, which was a treat.  Amazing restaurant meals for the last couple of nights but self catering from now on! so, probably pasta

I'm not in charge of dinner on the weekends, so I guess we'll be having fish and chips because its the easiest thing we have in the freezer to make. Husband is playing golf today, so he's not going to be in the mood to do anything that takes more than 5 minutes of effort.

pepproni pizza

Who knows? And isn’t that the real spice of life? I will not know until about an hour or so before I eat. These days the world’s your oyster, when it comes to choice. So I tend to wait and see what I fancy.

Well tonight we are having meatballs with spinach and potatoes. It’s all mushed together because that’s what we Dutch do 😂 Overall it’s malieveld meal and I’m glad that my wife is a good cook because no one makes the meatballs she does so I’m already looking forward to it

Not really sure yet on what I am going to have. Maybe a jacket potato with beans and cheese, before I go to work

Simple but good, grilled cheese and tomato soup. Can’t complain when it comes to a good old fashioned meal.

tonight i'm taking it easy, i've had a bbq yesterday so had way too much food.

So eating only a sandwich and some salad (hope not get hungry before going to sleep)

Had chicken fajitas and a garden salad.  Such a good easy meal to cook and somewhat healthy too.

The wife is gone for the week so meal planning is on me this week.  I'm going to cook beef au jus and broccoli tomorrow.  I have wednesday off of work so I am going to smoke ribs and do mac and cheese. Thursday I am going to grill chicken breasts and do roasted potatoes and Friday is going to be chicken burgers. I got it all planned.

well, assuming i am awake, i figure it will be something nice to make up for all the slimey chemically concoctions i have had to take over the last 24 hours .....

Report Post Tip

well, after my chemical cocktail the other day, i celebrated with a large stir fry plus sweet chile sauce, followed by greek yoghurt and a chocolate bar.  So, now  am feeling very full.

Garbage pilferings. Bark. Small campers. Dogs if I get lucky. Couple tin cans. Berries. We'll see where the road takes us.

Tonight was a pretty laid back night. Tossed some Chicken Corn on Blue in the oven, heated up some mashed potatoes, then got some leftover corn on the cob. Kids enjoyed it, worked out well!

Report Post Tip

for dinner tonight there will be nothing - as i am on a diet.  But for lunch today there are leftovers from the weekend .... a variety of things which really don't match, except for needing to be eaten.  Yum yum.
