What did you play (video games) as a kid? | Started by: Arthur on Oct 27, '20 00:09 |
The first video game I have any recollection of playing was "Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa". I had to Google it because all I remembered was playing as some baby with a rattle!

Grand theft auto for sure. But, most memorable would prolly be Goldeneye. That was such a great game that created good times with friends and family. Matrix Online, Eve? Also playing the mafia game which was great. Need for Speed was a big one too.. |

Very first video game experience was Sega Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog. :-) Ahhh the memories of freeing little animals from the clutches of Dr. Robotnik. |

As a teenager I had a saga megadrive and used to "borrow" games from the local library. I spent too many hours on a game called James Pond...there must be someone out there who played it??!!?? Come on, show yourselves... |

I had an entire case full of game CDs when I was younger, but I vaguely remember playing Grand Theft Auto, sonic Riders, some Need for Speed Most Wanted (the one released in 2005) and more, those are at least the ones I could remember. Even New Vegas. |

Heres where I show my age. Atari 2600 (keystone capers, manic chef and jedi trainer) I mean they all look like blocks moving about but I was so excited to play. Then we got a spectrum zx64 (loved the Dizzy games.) Mega drive later (mainly sonic and altered beast) Hand be down atari STe (Champ Manager, elite and the Quest series of games) until first PC (delta force, more champ Manager and elite) Nostalgic all but dam most were dam hard |

My first console was a sega mega drive and i played this awesome game called zombies.... you basically killed zombies with a water pistol, but was complex and had many different levels. If anyone goes back on the old games I would highly recommend it.

Ow wow so many but let's go back to earlier childhood
First of all it started with lemmings, yes i had a 1st computer with massive floppydefloppedy disk, not like the 'save button' to the younger generation but those massive fuckers that were flimsy as it can be. After that when we got a floppydisks it was games like indy 500, and other 2 bit adventure games (forgot the names) but some even just simply in black and white. After that more things like worms, duke nukem and of course jazz jackrabbit!!! Not long after GTA and Diablo, oh man hours i spent playing those (getting that dam tank off the roof in GTA and jumping that broken bridge) |

mercenaries playground of destruction! My brother and I use to take turns playing the game. It was a fun early xbox game. The game was based in North/South Korea during the Korean war. You play as a merc fighting for the united nations but can branch out to help the Chinese, Russian mob, South Korean military and the UN. It was such a stupid little game, I wish they made a proper second one.
You had to find the 'Deck of 52'. The top 52 Military/political figures in the North Korean government/Military. Capture/kill. It was such a cool concept. |

I enjoyed the first Prince of persia (1989) game quite a bit. The one where the white robed guy runs around killing skeletons. I can still remember the sound the gates make. Dont think I ever beat that game though. |

Halo was probably the first game I'd ever played that wasn't a Pajama Sam or Math Blasters learning type video game and it was pretty chill to mess around with after school. Was never very good at it, and that stays true to this day for most shooters since my reflex times are probably some of the worst you'd ever witness. |

Okay so, I am not as elaborate as some of y'all. I only liked play like 2 games. Once was N64 Mario Kart and the other was a PC game called Neopets. Don't hate, I loved that game and still have nostalgia towards. |

Golden eye and perfect dark were amazing and really made me love first person shooters growing up! There was nothing like a great split screen match against friends all peeking at everyone else's screen then lying about it. Perfection. |
